I've had whole body itching sensation and almost shooting pins and needles pain sensations in my body for several days. This always lasts several days and then like the last spells of this I had, I wake up and my left hand and fingers have lost sensation (it comes back after a day).

It sounds like lyme disease to me. I would try Alpha Lipoic Acid and see if it takes it away.
When I had various neuropathies (false nerve sensations) like this when treating lyme, my lyme doc had me take this and it worked wonderfully.
See this symptom on p. 10 of Burrascano:
Tingling, numbness, burning or stabbing sensations, shooting pains, skin hypersensitivity
Also, look at p. 29 "OPTIONAL SUPPLEMENTS FOR SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES FOR NEUROLOGIC SYMPTOMS" and add in as many as you care to try.

I have a lot of nerve issues. I don't usually itch. Have you had liver enzymes checked recently?

Regarding itching, liver issues can cause it and so can a lot of meds. Pain meds cause itching commonly. You can take Benadryl if your pain meds cause itching. It can be intense.
So, check all your meds and supplements for side effect of itching.
Also, itching can be a sign of an allergy. For example, if I take turmeric, I will itch and break out in hives. You can be allergic to anything you are taking including foods!
