Hello Everyone,

I just signed on to this site to see if I can find some answers for my 12 year old daughter who was diagnosed w/Lyme 6 months ago, but for the past 3 years we've taken her to every specialist under the sun.

She is unable to tolerate a full dose of ANY of the antibiotics the dr has prescribed (we left his office w/many). When we do give her even small doses, the herx is so intense she can hardly lift her head off the pillow and is completely bed-ridden.

It's been horrible.
I'm now looking at other options. It was brought to my attention through some friends that someone in CA is treating Lyme w/kinesiology and swears this treatment has cured her daughter.

We're also looking at hyperthermia treatment, as whole body hyperthermia is known to kill spirochetes if the body temp reaches 107 degrees. They are apparently doing this at a clinic in Germany, there is also a physician in Salt Lake City Utah.

We are desperate to help our daughter, she is really suffering and I can't see her maintaining antibiotics orally any longer.

Does anyone out there know ANYTHING about these two treatments or has anyone heard any success stories with these?

Thank you so much to anyone that can respond!

Has she been tested for the coinfections? Do you know what she has in addition to Lyme? Anything else?

I would be a bit hesitant about the treatment involving hyperthermia. From what I've heard, it's VERY intense. Hopefully, someone here knows more about it.

Have you tried herbs? How does she do on those?

Rife? That can be effective, and you can begin slowly.

Does she have MTHFR? How well does she detox? If you can't detox well, the ABX / treatments will make you very very sick.

My husband cannot tolerate high doses in treatment .

She was diagnosed with borreliosis, not tested yet for any co-infections-I'm hoping this is next.
I don't even know what Rife is? Should I look on forums for what kind of herbs you're referring to? There is so much BS on the internet difficult to decipher what's helpful and what is actually dangerous also had candida.

Thanks so much for your reply!

Whatever treatment you do, you gotta take binders to bind toxins and heavy metals off.

At least, that is what I learned, during the years of lyme treatment.

I could NEVER take any full dose of anything, not even herbs. I fare better with homeopathy and very tiny doses of herbs.

They work too in low doses for some people (look at S. Buhner's info, website...).

He initially said herbs need to be taken in high amounts, to work.

Later, after he received feed back from many people who CANNOT tolerate high doses BUT IMPROVE with the herbs, he changed his point of view.

Not tolerating herxes mean = bad detoxing ability.

Doctors should think about that first, before giving any killers. But most don't.

They leave patients suffer. The problem is that I don't think anyone can get better from chronic infections when they're highly toxic.

My daughter was 2 years old when she got lyme first time. She detoxes badly, can't tolerate high amounts of anything that kills.

She treated with amoxy, didn't improve, her gut got so messy and painful we had to stop it.

We shifted to natural treatment such as herbs, photons + nosodes, homeopathy, all treatments done with energy testing. All of them.

I also swear by energy testing. I don't know how we would have improved, had we not used kinesiology.

When you test binders, you see immediately that our bodies are screaming for binders, not once a day, but quite a few times a day.

Then you take binders, you feel better in less than 30 minutes. It is almost magic.

My daughter had to take a mix of chlorella, bear garlic tincture, cardamon powder, propolis drops, flaxseed oil, with honey every single day, and more than once a day during the WHOLE time she treated lyme.

Or herxes would have been unbearable.

Note that she only used herbs , homeopathy etc, since we stopped antibiotic. Even with herbs, that kill, she needed binders, many times a day.

Without cleaning the body, I don't see how anyone can improve.

Children feel miserable, tummy problems, headache, sleep problems, they can't concentrate well, can't learn things well in school, can't even go to school...

She is now 12. Lyme is long gone for both of us. But we still take some binders, until today. Not every day, but about 2 times a week.

during lyme treatment, she took not only binders, but also herbs or supplements for the LIVER, LYMPH, gut and KIDNEY. These supported her detox organs.

With the years treating lyme, we learned that the most important part of treatment is not killing lyme, but cleaning the mess of toxins.

You can take a lot of killers, but when the body get too toxic, nothing happens anymore: you feel miserable, infections continue as usual or worse, you get stuck.

Read info on dr. Klinghardt and lyme. We followed many of his treatments to get rid of lyme.

Good luck!

Q: Kinesiology or Hyperthermia for Lyme?

Neither. There are ways for body work and for warmth to help but neither will really be the ticket.

Kinesiology can be helpful in some ways but not as sole approach. It can help "guide" what might work best, as a tool.

The body being cared for in other ways also of help, massage, etc. A LL ND would know more about Kinesiology benefits and limitations.

If she is unable to tolerate Rx, keep in mind the Herxheimer reaction and what can help prevent that with the right kinds of liver support.

Hyperthermia is NOT able to destroy borrelia and could be dangerous, life damaging - or fatal.

Even hot baths can damage someone with lyme.

Many with lyme react terribly to being overheated. LOW HEAT INFRARED SAUNA can help the body to sweat at a lower - safer - heat, though . . . and help with circulation.

There is no heat that can get hot enough to kill borrelia and not also kill the person, though.

I looked into Hyperthermia clinics in Italy and Atlanta (at that time, many years ago this is where they were) but the risks so outweigh any good reports. Even with the good reports, some are not sustained.

For child, this could also really lead to diabetes issues as they mess with insulin / pancreas during heat treatments. Even isolated events that stress the pancreas can cause lasting damage and create havoc regarding glucose tolerance for life.

Also to keep in mind: Spirochetes can go into cystic form when it gets too hot.

MannaMe mentions the inability of the body to move through toxins. Vital circumstance. MTHFR and other related liver / kidney issues have links here, too:

LIVER & KIDNEY SUPPORT & and several HERXHEIMER support links, too.

When considering herbal / nutritional / adjunct methods, because lyme is so very complex & unique, as are possible coinfections:

if at all possible - because each person & each case is different - it's best to consult with an ILADS-educated LL ND (lyme literate naturopathic doctor) (or similar) who has completed four years of post-graduate medical education in the field of herbal and nutritional medicine -

- and someone who is current with ILADS' research & presentations, past and present, and has completed the ILADS Physician Training Program (see: www.ilads.org )

so they really know all they can about the science of lyme . . . how lyme (& other TBD) act and what we can do about that in various ways. Proper ASSESSMENT of not just lyme but coinfectoins is vital. Someone trained by ILADS is best to assess.

Many LL NDs incorporate antibiotics (depending upon the licensing laws in their state). Some LLMDs and LL NDs have good working relationships.

When possible, it's great to have both a LLMD and LL ND and even better when they have a long-standing professional relationship.

For those considering complementary support methods / or other avenues entirely:

http://flash.lymenet.org/ubb/ultimatebb.php/topic/2/13964

How to find an ILADS-educated LL:

N.D. (Naturopathic Doctor);

L.Ac. (Acupuncturist);

D.Ay. (Doctor of Ayurvedic Medicine);

D.O.M. (Doctor of Oriental Medicine);

Herbal Safety considerations & reference books; etc.

BOOKS - Links to many articles and books by holistic-minded LL doctors of various degrees who all have this basic approach in common:

knowing which methods offer assertive & direct impact, which are only support and which are both. And when to use what, how to combine, & when to step back.

You can compare and contrast many approaches with links to articles, books, methods . . .

BODY WORK methods / links (and why anyone who works on your spine MUST be LL to the degree they at least know to never suddenly twist neck or spine. Never. Ever - not if there is inflammation in the spine with active infection. And that we should never be advised to do neck / head / shoulder stands.)

BOOKS - ARTICLES - Links here to two major sources: Buhner, & Zhang. Be sure to get their books.

RIFE Machine - Reference LINKS

I do not know about rife use for children, though.

Back to:

"some friends that someone in CA is treating Lyme w/kinesiology and swears this treatment has cured her daughter."

The use of the term might have more to it than the basic definition. See if the person who is treating your friends' daughter might also be employing other techniques / avenues.

And see if they just might be an ILADS educated LL ND.

Do not drop that lead, though, find out the specifics . . . how much that doctor (?) knows about lyme, liver issues, etc.

Whomever you settle on for treatment must be thoroughly lyme literate in every sense and nuance.

Each person with lyme has a totally different case, though. There are always coinfections on board and each person's body is just different in how it can handle the toxic nature of lyme - and the stresses of treatment.

GLUTEN FREE diet? She may already be gluten free but, if not, that would be a good move. Also move to zero GMO Foods. Genetically modified foods can cause terrible trouble for many.

PANDAS parent support groups / autism parents support groups might also be of help in leads. Some issue overlap especially regarding nutrient / support methods.

I agree with Brussels, she has a detox issue (as do I).

Is the kineseologist in CA a good ART practitioner? If so, then that is what I would do. Word of mouth is the best way to find one. Sometimes people at lyme support groups can tell you who they see or who they've heard is good.

Also a FIR sauna. Far infra red is the best. You can call around to spas for her to try one out. FIR saunas not only kill lyme, they also detox heavy metals, pesticides, toxins. So worth it. But I would still use a kineseologist/ART trained practitioner so you give her a one two punch.

I just listened to the Detox Summit and there was a speaker for FIR saunas whose own daughter got better with one. I think every lyme patient should have one.

I doubt anyone informed would think Kinesiology could really treat lyme, although I imagine it could be supportive in some cases.

I might guess you are referring to Applied Kinesiology, which is not a treatment method at all. Rather, it is a diagnostic method. If performed by someone skilled, it can help determine what problem areas there might be, and what types of treatment might be helpful.

This forum and others will guide you well eli ..i suggest doing a search for rowingmoms post on hw forum ..she got her daughter out of a bad sitch with 5 years of abx herbs and other modalities ..

i have been doing ozone saunas at 110 degrees and while it helps detox i feel really drained after ...

Watch the tes talks with anthony holland i believe that rife with plasma is more effective ...if you know the pathogen and frequencys ...

i am doing bvt as it kills protozoan and lyme .it has its risks but lyme is dangerous ...watch under our skin and justin and christie on u toob .it will give you an idea of the struggle
herbs can be powerful however ...your daughter has systemic infection with a insidious organism and borrielia tarely travels alone ..

Get coinfectiin testing ...do genetics and ..give her 100 bil probitics and nystatin at the very least ...

we are hear if you have any questions ...dr j treats kids succesfully but he is elderly now

Dr. K uses a sort of applied kinesiology to treat anything from lyme to autism.

But kinesiology is just a tool. It is not a method to treat lyme, to treat anything.

Like a ruler, to the architect. A ruler doesn't make the architect, as much as kinesiological tests do not make the practitioner.

I swear by energy tests because I do that for many years. I usually follow ART (the school of dr. K), but also test anything that comes in my mind.
