Got something weird going on and no answers? Well...

Thanks to the responses from the Lyme & TBD "experts" in our community we were able to put together this “Ask The Experts” page, the 1st one in a series.

And there are pictures too!

https://sites.google.com/site/floridalyme/tick-borne/bartonella-1/bartonella--hand-pain?pli=1

Thanks to all of the “experts” that cooperated with this project and made this learning tool possible!

This is absolutely wonderful and very informative! Thank you so much, Tincup, for posting it. Please continue to do so.

How can I ask the experts for their valuable opinions specifically to get help for my young adult son?

You are very welcome db.

Hoping- Thank you too for the kind words. To TRY to answer your question....

I am assuming he doesn't have a LLMD? If that is the case some Lyme treating doctors- very few- will consult with patients by phone to answer questions (no treatment). There would be a fee for this consult- not sure what it is, you'd have to ask.

Assuming your son has a regular doctor at least? If that is the case his doctor can contact most LLMD's directly and ask to consult with them by phone about a patient. (Only docs- not patients, sorry.) Our docs are usually very open to helping other docs learn.

If you'd like the name of a doc that does consults by phone with no treatment, you'll have to email me at [email protected] cause I don't do those PM things. Only know one off the top of my head, but more below...

To find docs in your area or those who consult by phone you can go to www.MarylandLyme.org and look at the menu on the left for Doctor Referrals. That will take you to a site that lists many of the LLMD's along with their contact info.

(Not trying to make this complicated. LN won't allow me to post the doctor link here.)

Hoping- If you are looking for ONE symptom or condition and can outline it as was done on the site I've shared with history, photos, etc. I could TRY to get someone to look at it. They won't recommend treatment, but might answer a question?

Not even sure that is possible, or if it would help with a complex case, but, that is the best I can do right now.

Also would need to know if a psych doc, neuro, or other speciality is needed.

Please do NOT spend time writing something up until you run the idea past me first. Save us both time and energy.
