I've been on mino and rifampin for about a month. When I was doing my pulse schedule I would herx a little and then have two days off so this is a new wrinkle.

This is probably my worst day yet for symptoms. I'm not in pain but it feels like my blood is carbonated, I'm twitching all over nonstop and the vertigo is so bad I feel like I need to keep my cheek fastened to my pillow to stay stable. When I sit up my head bobs in a little circle with my heartbeat.

I've been having a fever every day now with increased symptoms at 3 PM but the rest of the day was usually a little easier.

Is this a herx? I mean I'm hoping it is but it seems a little off in terms of the timetable. And aren't these bart symptoms?

Can't say what it is, sorry. Can say my herxes hit about week 3 after starting treatment. Like it was meant to be that way. Others have experienced this time table too.

Can say my vertigo would be so bad I would have to get on the floor, lay my head forward on a pillow on the floor, butt in the air, with my head rested on one side of my face only, to keep from spinning.

Twitchy blood or body/muscles can be related to increased toxins.

Hope it clears up soon little baboon.

I think the muscle twitching is part of the herxheimer reaction, due to low magnesium.

The liver uses magnesium to help detoxify the poisons left behind by dead borrellia cells.
Plus, the Lyme bacteria use up the magnesium in our cells.
As all enzyme processes in the body's cells need magnesium, its depletion causes many problems.

Are you eating foods high in magnesium?
Taking supplements? If so, which one?
What else are you taking to support the liver.

You could take a break of several days to let the liver catch up, which should reduce the symptoms.

In another post, you mentioned that you may have vasculitis.
Have you looked into systemic enzymes to reduce inflammation?
I've been taking Wobenzym with good results.

Twitching would mean need for more magnesium. I just reported in General Support about doing better by upping magnesium.

My doctor says to go to tolerance - ie what you can handle without negative symptoms.

Everyone responds differently to various forms of magnesium. I am passing magnesium glycinate.

My LLMD has me alternating serrapeptase and boluoke and I've got some kind of hopped up Lyme mineral supplement I'm taking.

I would looooove to take a break from this, but this is co-infection treatment with rifampin so I can't. I feel like I have one chance to hit bart/ehrlichia/rickettsia with this combo, no wussing out.

Pulsing was so much easier -- no matter how crappy I was feeling I'd be able to look forward to a day off. This is totally different.

Mino gave me vertigo. I didn't pulse it. It was bearable. Also made me feel unsteady when I walked sometimes. A little nausea also.

As for twitching....pffft. I've had too much of that to even go into but looking back probably toxins and I agree magnesium should help along with any extra detox you can do. Especially epsom salt baths! They can really calm the muscles and nerves for me.

twitching can also be a sign of low vitamin D.
Mag never helped me, till I started bringing up my atrocious vitamin D levels.

Vitamin D works very closely in tandem with Magnesium and like Magnesium a lot of sick people are deficient!

My regular doctor made me stop taking vitamin d because it was way too high. I take it in my multiple now.
