Recently been diagnosed with Lyme. I've had it for a while, the only sometimes I have is joint pain and some headaches that started early this year.

I'm nursing to children and had them tested for lyme despite them not having symptoms. It was a regular lab Corp test, bands 41 and 58 igg showed up positive.

My question is: What if the antibodies that are registering on the kid's  test, are MY antibodies... since antibodies pass through breast milk, wouldn't my antibodies potentially register on their tests and make it look like they were exposed to lyme?

I don't know if that's even possible, but if it is, it would mean that my antibodies are registering on the test, giving a false positive on the test, and they never have actually been exposed to lyme.

Thoughts?

I really don't know, but seems like it might be possible.

I know it's possible to give them Lyme through your breast milk.
