Hello, I have been sick for a year. I have had every test and seen many Dr's. I have tested positive for band 41 for IGG and IGM. I also had a low CD 57. (40). Also, positive 45&66 for IGG.

I was sent to an MS Dr he does not think MS.

I have severe brain fog, sever neck pain, foot pain back pain, nausea, pain I lower abdomen, I had shingles, knee pain, something is going on with my eyes, terrible psychological symptoms (anxiety) headaches, fatty liver disease, lip and sometimes face quiver along with electrical feeling in. Bottom of feet sometimes burning in feet. Sometimes stabbing pain in arm and foot.

My Dr is treating me for Lyme. Does anyone here agree with my Dr that it is Lyme? I also have leisions on my brain

I would like to add I live in Northern NJ in the mountains and I was an avid hiker.

Most likely, it is Lyme .. and probably bartonella. Be sure this doctor tests you for it as well.

Here's a ton of RELIABLE info on Lyme and its coinfections:

http://flash.lymenet.org/scripts/ultimatebb.cgi/topic/1/88555?

Found within that link is this one:

and this one:

Which lab did your test?

Thank you so much for info!! I tested at igenex. I forgot to add my husband had Lyme disease a couple of years ago. I took doxycycline a few months ago but got very sick so my last Dr had me stop taking them. He then put me on amoxicillin for 1 month. I just started to take sulfamethoxazole.

My Dr did say he highly suspects a co infection. I don't remember which one but it started with a "b". He said "You have Lyme disease. I'm sure of it". He said late stage neurological Lyme disease

Then he must suspect bartonella. Bactrim (sulfamethoxazole) helps that.

Be careful to take probiotics twice a day two hours away from any antibiotics.

Blue said- funny Blue.... "no good bugs have tails."

Tails? Ok. I agree. But...

What has a tail that is good for something?

I know what do! Lobsters do, Blue.

Please pass the butter!

I agree with all that has been said. I too have lesions on the white matter of my brain. Majority of my issues are neurological. Tough stuff.

Keep with the probiotics and make sure you have a good LLMD.

Good luck.

Tincup. I've never had lobster... maybe I need a new experience with things with tails!

The more pluses you see on your test results, the stronger the reaction your body had. So, more pluses means more evidence of an antibody to lyme.

Usually, ++++ is the max shown.

Blue is saying that you can order a test called DNA Connexions. You don't need a doctor to order it for you. It tests for 12 diseases evidently.

Agree that it sounds like Lyme and bartonella.

I've been able to stop all my eye symptoms by drinking mangosteen juice, an anti-inflammatory juice. I like the Mango-Xan version, as it's the most tart. I drink around an ounce a day, Found in health food stores and online.

We're all different when it comes to what works to reduce our symptoms. It's something you could try, if you wish, and feel free to report back.

I agree with what has been said. I'm sorry you are going through this. As Bluelyme so perfectly put it, "Congratuladolences." Welcome to lymenet. You've found a good support group.

One of the best recommendations given to me was to educate myself. "Cure Unknown," by Pamela weintrub and "Why Can't I get Better?" by Dr. H are excellent books.

Most people look fine, it's what is going on on the inside that counts though. At my sickest a doc told me I looked the best she'd ever seen. This is how clueless they are (and everyone else). Unfortunately not enough is known by docs or in the public eye about lyme and company. The book Cure Unknown will help.

I would do Blue's suggestion and get the dna connexions test. Also, look into Stephen Buhner's books. He is the authority on herbs and lyme. Herbs are good for managing lyme and company. Some are successful at getting rid of co infections with them.

Have you found a good lyme literate doc yet? Does your doc know how to treat all the co infections? I would find one that uses herbs too. If you've chosen just the abx route, then you might want to read Dr. Burrascano's info:

https://www.researchednutritionals.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/Burrascanos-Advanced-Topics-in-Lyme-Disease-_12_17_08.pdf

Hang in there, you are not alone. There are so many great people here with great info. Tons of reading for you at your fingertips! Welcome to Lymenet. [Smile]

You're welcome! I just added more in my post above on Buhuner books too. He is loaded with info about herbs. He has written more books than those too.
