so ive taken one for two days. if I live, I swear I'll never touch another one.

I am in bad pain. my stomach hurts so I can't eat. under both ribs and all the way around my back.

severe diahrrea, sort of pale grey. headache and pain over my eyes.

did I mention jaw and tooth pain?

lower abdominal pain, tender and sore. nausea and reflux.

and my stupid nose is running. but, big but here, I can breathe easier. huh....

never ever again.

I'd rather go through another colon removal than this.

Hi <<<<< randibear >>>>>,

I wonder if the dose isn't too strong, sometimes even one can be. Oregano can be potent stuff. And it can set ones stomach on fire, that's how it feels at least.

I'd wait on that for now, you are already miserable from that darn flu-bug/ and asthma. Maybe it's too much on a worn out system. It could be a herx, or an allergy. And the reflux makes me think it is to strong for your system

Prayers going up to the Lord, for the pain, burning, aching, runny/stuffy nose and the diarrhea problem to stop. In Jesus Name Amen.

Your in our tho'ts and prayers. This whole flu mess, or whatever it is, has gotta stop.

Jus' Silverwolfi here

I bought the Oregano Oil drops,so much easier to control that way. Although I have even broken open the softgels and done it that way too.

Definitely wait until it passes, but you could start again at a MUCH LOWER dose.

Back when I tried oregano oil, I could not swallow capsules, so did the drops. Even a few drops just burned my esophagus really bad. Now I have/had ulcers, but still ... it is very strong ... really "bites", for sure!

I imagine the insides would have to be in very good shape to tolerate it.

It's really caustic. Whenever I apply it topically it burns.

I agree, never again.

I've used oregano essential oil, but just started with one drop and highly diluted with olive oil. I really think it helped honestly. Seemed to give me a little bit of head herxing.

Hi <<<<< randibear >>>>>,

Are you feeling any better? Hope so,we've been praying for you!

Another tho't on the Oregano issue, if you like Italian foods check the ingredients closely. They often use Oregano as part of the flavoring, I have to be really careful about Oregano in foods.

I also had to be very cautious about Anise, another spice used in Italian foods for seasoning flavor. It upsets my stomach.

Lyme and Co-infections, sure causes us all so many issues.

Jus' Silverwolfi here thinkin' about ya

Randi, it sounds like it is killing more stuff on you other than just yeast (co infections). You might check out what Buhner says about oregano. You could try taking lots of probiotics or s.boullardi for your gut (might get rid of the pain).

it was now brand oregano oil softgels, 55 percent carvacrol. it has ginger and fennel oil.

my stomach is still sore. how can you herx that hard? it was mostly stomach and abdominal pain. I was worried about diverticulitis.

and I cant cut the capsules in half.

well thats another 10 bucks down the drain. I hate to buy stuff, take one pill, and throw the entire bottle away.

and stores say no refund if opened.

I wonder if this is only herx, or the mere shock of contact, as it is very caustic, as said above.

Before ingesting something strong such as oregano, thyme, peppermint oil, camphor, whatever crazy stuff you guys want to ingest, I would recommend first to RUB ON THE SKIN.

At least, you have a feel of what it will do to your digestive lining, before you actually ingest the thing.

I have problems with chamomile , roiboos tea, peppermint tea (not even the oil), even green tea (sencha).

you know, stuff that people give to small kids or babies may cause me unbearable tummy pain.

Do people believe me? No.

But chamomile, peppermint, roiboos, and sencha ALWAYS cause me pain.

Since own pain experiences (sometimes horrible pain), I NEVER ever try anything in the amount RECOMMENDED for normal humans.

I start with less than BABY dose, sometimes, divide that dose still...

If I can't cut it, divide, etc, I don't buy the supplement.

If the supplement comes mixed with other stuff I don't know, I don't buy it.

It safer like that, and I save money.

I hope your tummy ache passes.

And again, it might be not from herxes only, as oregano is known to burn on skin.

I have been looking into Oreganol (recommended by my son), not necessarily for Lyme. He and his family swear by it. It tastes gross.

I was wondering, would it burn if you put it on your feet? Also, wouldn't that bypass stomach issues?

BTW, what are most people on the forum taking oregano oil for?

I would CERTAINLY try first topically, on small spots. And diluted, of course, not pure.

If you don't get 'burned', just increase area of application: I like any area near lymph nodes, as they attack directly spots with infections.

do it for a week, if you feel comfortable, you can super dilute it and try ingestion.

I usually dislike strong killers because of weak stomach and I hate herxes (bad detox pathways), but sometimes they may be helpful.

Oregano, thyme, peppermint, eucalyptus, cajeput all these oils are strong killers, with confirmed studies (at least, in vitro).

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/1293213
(this is just for cajeput, but you can do a google search for other oils too)

I use Olbas oil for more than a decade, with very good results against viruses.

http://www.olbas.co.uk/_assets/docs/Olbas-PIL.pdf

Just rubbed and sniffed!

People with lyme do not know the power of rubbing essential oils in the body: the bypass digestion and go DIRECTLY to the places you want them to go.

You can use them for KILLING or CLEANSING purposes. Effects are very fast, usually.
