In Tinnitus Today, years ago, I found an article written by the Startrek guy - Shatner. I forget his first name. But, he has
tinnitus and takes Ginko for it so, when I had tinnitus, I started taking Ginko. It takes four days to start working.

When I had Tinnitus, I took one per day every morning. I have found that Ginko from Walmart works just as well as NOW brand Ginko
which I've also taken. Ginko has a strong smell and I take it with 1 tsp of yogurt to soothe the stomach lining.

And for sleep when I have insomnia, I take the brand that Stephen Buhner said in one of his posts that he takes. Premier Research Labs Melatonin-ND.
I take it in a little water.

Just make sure to let your doc know if you are taking Ginko because it can interact with other meds and herbs. I have struggled with tinnitus ever since I suddenly lost my hearing in one ear in 2011 and unfortunately the Ginko did not help me.
I take vinpocetine (5 g with each meal) instead and I think it helps with reducing some of the ear symptoms. I learned of this through reading Stephen Buhner books. Randibear, hoping you will gradually feel better and the tinnitus will be a thing of the past!
