Hi all: so sorry I have not been here very much. I found I was obsessing to much and wanted to... just live. I am mostly better, but after 25 years un dx'd I still have flairs, wether they come from lyme, Fibro, or some yet to be found autoimmune. I hope my old friends are doing well and newbies are finding the wonderful support that you can find no where else but here.

I am having nasal polyp surgery in a little less than 2 weeks. I was told to stop all anti-inflammatory meds and supplements 2 weeks prior. since then, my allergies have been kind of crazy, even wheezing a little even though I am still using nasal sprays and inhalers and anti-histamines

I take an odd mix of vitamin and supps that seems to work for me since treating for lyme (or I'm just afraid to stop) Could stopping these vits and supps for 3 days be effecting my allergies?

I was taking
Morning: D3, Multi, Aloe (for my crohn's) and Fish oil

Night: Probiotics, B50, Vit C, and Magnesium (oddly this combo has allowed me to get the ambien down to a 1/4 of a 5mg)

is the a coincidence? or was this combo just keeping my symptoms at bay?

Probiotics, C and Mag would help with keeping the gut clear and that would affect your "allergies."

Mag will definitely help with sleep.

Why do you have to stop the supps? I would think only the fish oil would affect blood clotting and the rest would be a big PLUS.

Good to see you back here.. even if only briefly.

[group hug]

PS .. Just noticed the "B50" .. Be extremely careful about adding any B6 .. so easy to become toxic on it.

Hi TuTu. I'm pretty sure the surgeon just doesn't know, and would rather be safe than sorry... as would I, but I really miss my mag.

I would be too afraid of dying on the operating table without my mag in me. My heart needs it.

PS .. You do know that polyps are associated with salicylates, right? Didn't you have trouble with those?

Starting Serrapeptase shortly after the surgery will reduce the inflammation and swelling.
There are studies with oral surgery, if you look.

PEMF, pulsed electromagnetic field therapy, will help things heal 3 or 4 times as quickly...I found this to be true every time I used it.

It's also possible that PEMF would reduce the size of the nasal polyps.

Wow! You guys remember what I've been doing better than me. Truth be told... I am starting to think of the medical things I've been putting off before insurance gets too limited. Right now these things will cost me a copay... who knows what will happen in the future.

The ent will biopsy. Worth asking him to test for spirichetes?
He suggests I do allergy treatments after...
