I have no control over my sleep. It's really bad.

I couldn't sleep at all for 24 hours until about nine yesterday morning.

Then I fell asleep until 1 PM and woke up, wandered around, went to a doctor's appointment, all in this haze of exhaustion, then I fell asleep at about 6 PM and passed out until 4 AM.

I'm still tired and I want to go back to bed, which I guess I will, but as this is happening I feel like I have no control at all over the very basic functions of my conscious life -- sleep, food, just general function. I can't keep track of myself. It feels like *insanity*, like I'm an insane person, who is utterly chaotic. I don't have any sense of myself, if that makes sense.

This has to be a brain problem but I don't even know what would treat this.

I'm not on abx since two days ago. I'm taking diflucan and stomach meds. I thought maybe the increased exhaustion was from diflucan/yeast/fungal die off?

I hope so. Anybody have sleep stuff like this?

Yes ): it's horrible. Has the insomnia gotten worse without the abx? Seriously, the first time I stopped Levaquin and bactrim (because I thought they weren't doing anything), by the third day I couldn't sleep at all. Zero. It was beyond horrible.

The antibiotics are helping my sleep less and less here lately, but without them I don't sleep at all, despite being very sedated from many sleep aids. And then the utter insanity comes with it.

I'm not sure if it's gotten worse. Insomnia -- as long as it's active insomnia, not zombie insomnia -- doesn't bother me.

But this SLEEP thing. I just disappear,at any point and any hour of any day and go away for hours. It feels more like an attack of something than actually sleeping. Lately, since the past couple days anyway, I'm exhausted when I'm awake also. It feels SO abnormal.

Yes.

I think it has something to do with the vagus nerve but to date, I haven't found anything to calm it down.

I ll be sleeping and a bolt of electricity wakes me up. Never a refreshing or restorable sleep.

I couldn't keep my eyes open at 3:00pm so I laid down to nap and didn't wake up till 9:00pm. Didn't know where I was or if it was night or day.

I know everyone is different, but I wish someone would have told me that with this disease, expect to be in a vegetable-like state for 1 year minimum.

That way, I could mark a X through each day on the calendar. I wouldn't have to worry about each day's progress, instead monthly, or even bi-monthly.

I thought I would be back to work in 2 months, no one told me otherwise. So anxiety, guilt, worthlessness, affairs not put in order.

Atleast these could have been avoided had 1 doctor told me it's gonna be a long and hard road to get well.

Hard to say what's behind the chronic fatigue. So many infections, parasites, mold, metals. Body s beat down.

Drastic times call for drastic measures. . . I m thinking of adding coffee enemias.

Yeah, I get the attack-type things too. I've struggled with how to find a way to describe them. It's like something hits me all of a sudden and then I'm gone. Could be for 30 minutes, or it could be for a few hours. Which is weird because I can't sleep at night.

I'm always extremely exhausted when I'm awake. Like too exhausted to lift my hands. Too weak to breathe much of the time. My heart slows because it just doesn't have the strength to beat much anymore. It's really scary.

Maybe get a sleep study done.

It would be eye opening to actually see what these demon ketes do to our body in its most vulnerable state. Plus it could be used for more evidence down the road.

When I wake up, everything is on the floor. Sheets, comfort, pillows.

And I would rather shovel coal for 8 hours than try to get a brush through my hair.

At least I got my shower in today. Time for bed.

I started off that way too. I didn't even think my Lyme was "that bad." Off work for two years now, Bonnie and on my third Lyme doctor.

But *I* brushed my teeth today!

Totally relate to insomnia. It's created an impossibly bad anxiety for me - I get tremendous anxiety from doing nothing, sitting in bed for hours has made all parts of my day torture and misery, it's become completely paralyzing to say the least.

Of all the symptoms, this and brain fog are the two - the combination - that has kept me from living anything resembling a life, never mind a normal life.

lymeandceliac. I relate WELL to the sleep anxiety. NOT FUN. I went to a sleep psychologist for a while. She gave me some tips, but still hard.

Insomnia vs extreme fatigue is the WORSE. Oddly enough and NO ONE can tell me why but when I have insomnia (longest stretch was 76 hours!) my neuro symptoms are actually less.

When the fatigue starts feels like a curtain falling over me then I'm like in a coma. When I wake up no energy and my cognitive, speech, eyesight, walking all is worse.

My doctor said my hypothalamus was affected (have very low body temperature) and my vagus nerve (10th cranial nerve); my blood pressure is up and my uvula deviates to the right which is the side I have all my movement symptoms.

Also I have swallowing problems some times and I can't say the "Ga" sound which is something they always ask me to do...

So much fun
