I am so tired, itchy eyes and ears, even my rear itches...now I've had white throat for days.
I made an appt with a different doctor. I told him my symptoms, he took one look at my throat and said "uh huh.. how long have you had candida?" couldn't believe it. in less than 10 minutes he nailed it.
plus he gave me clotrimazole lozenges. I have to suck on one every two hours while I am awake. he gave me 70, yes, 70, and said if I'm not better come back.
I asked about diflucan and he said it really can't reach thrush and he believes it's too hard on liver and kidneys. he said this will reach systemic too.
I am so po'd. I have been begging that other dr for anything to treat yeast and he said he's never seen yeast in 30 years. I stupidly jus went along, thinking I was crazy.
I'm tight jawed I'm so mad. now I've let this yeast get to at least stage 3, and I ain't happy. I mean why don't these doctors jus say "oh I don't know. go away and die but don't blame me."
plus super no sugar diet.
I could choke that other guy.
what should I expect?? they misdiagnosed my mom and she died. my sisters begged for tests and all they got was "she's old. what do you want?" she was only 83...

I started to tell you the other day that if you wanted Diflucan, you were going to have to find another doctor. (I didn't have much hope that you would get so brave though!!)
So ... CONGRATULATIONS .. JOB WELL DONE!
The lozenges will help the thrush, but not a lot else.
He has no plan for the REST OF THE YEAST??

he said this will get rid of the systemic also. I jus read on the fda site that this is not recommended for systemic. heck, maybe he hasn't read that.
I'm skeptical but, hey, at least I got this.
I ordered ole, caprylic, candida clear, and coconut oil.
I think I'm still going back after the 10 days. I have practically all the systems from itchey scalp to ibs to muscle pain and cramps. he did not explain stage 2 or 3 but said I definitely am in a stage of candida. so many symptoms.
I'm wondering if this would clear up lyme. he seems resistant to diflucan cause he said he won't prescribe it, so we'll see.
I'm not doing all the rest until I'm out of these.
can you herx on these lozenges?

I had a major herx, my first one ever, on caprylic acid, so be careful - try anything in a very small dosage initially.
How I got off sugar - I did a step-down diet - eliminated sugar but kept sweet fruit in. It took around 10 days to get over the sugar craving, then I didn't need sugar anymore, and dropped the sweet fruit.
Ended up with veggies and lean meat, and various snacks suggested in the noncandida cookbooks, which I recommend, because they give you ideas of things to eat that actually are tasty - ie focus on the new tasty treats instead of what you've given up.
Major necessary and winning strategy: always have nonyeast foods on hand to eat, at home and away from home, as in bring your own prepared food if that's what it takes.
Try nystatin cream for yeast itching.

For diet, I just now think "savory" rather than "sweet." there are tons of yummy savory food out there.

my obgyn gave me triamcinolone cream to apply morning and night, all forward and back. four refills.
funny thing, my sister has yeast also and her doctor only gave her 150mg pill and won't give her anymore.
I think it's the drs who have systemic ignorance.

Caprylic acid is HARSH. With all of your issues, that may not be the best way to go.
An itchy rear is also a sign of parastites. A lot of parasite treatments also have things in them to help with candida as well.
When treating candida, if your gut is a mess, the KEY is to go VERY slow.
Gut repair is crucial. Diet, probiotics, restoring gut flora and eliminating any foods that are adding to the inflammation.
If you have leaky gut, all of the candida meds won't help until it's repaired.
