My kid had POTS, asthma, swollen knee, fatigue and brain issues. The knee that wouldnt resolve and had no structural damage to explain it was what got him help. He had a team of doctors, like we all do, before some friend suggested lyme. He had one band that could or could not be lyme.

We know 4 kids who have lyme and all of them have POTS.

Based on symptoms we think he got it in 4th/5th grade. Finally got treatment beginning of 9th.

We found a doctor to treat him even though western blot was borderline and he is so much better. He was very compliant with his diet in the beginning but cheats a lot now. I cringe.

How stupid were we that we didn't recognize it. I had lyme how could we miss it? Talk about guilt.

Mine had always gut issues, arthritis (severe sometimes), she got brain inflammation (sometimes severe too).

She had problems with her vision, extreme fatigue, more allergies, bad mood. That is what I remember, as she's been healed for the last 8 years. She had caught lyme quite a few times, and relapsed other times long ago. It's all fine now. No damage, I think.
