This site has the treatment recommendations for adults and children (Dr. B's recommendations) ready to go. You can print out the one page document and take it to your doc with you.
If they have a paper in hand indicating the dose should higher and/or be longer duration it would be stupid of them not to prescribe it. But, they often NEED documentation before they will do the "right thing". And this way is much easier than arguing with them.
I'd also call and ask the vets office why they only prescribed one days worth. You need to know. I'd like to know too! Ask for the science behind that decision.
I haven't seen any scientific literature relating to reducing dog doses for Lyme, but I don't typically read them all so I am not a good source for that info.

Yes they broke one 100mg pill in half. Gave her half in office and told me to give her half next morning
The vet was very clear...almost giddy...that's all she needs...that will take care of everything
The hospital that is doing this for ppl is run by mass general so it doesn't really surprise me
Also...many never followed burrascano anyway....they didn't even follow cdc. But here it is a big change in a short time and I assumed there must have been a change somewhere
