I've been taking Valerian Root every night for the past couple of months to help me sleep. It has been working really well up until about a week ago, so that's when I stopped taking it. I think I built a tolerance to it. How long should I wait before I start taking it again?

I've been taking "Catechola Calm" at night instead of valerian. It has valerian in it, but also other things, including B vitamins (the proper form for those of us with MTHFR).
My functional med doc had me make the switch because she said my tests showed I was stressed and this would help.
In answer to your actual question, I don't know. I never built up a tolerance. I did get used to it. After a while I didn't notice the relaxed feeling from it I did in the beginning, but I still didn't have a problem with falling asleep.
