I have different types of toe pain--burning (all) , stabbing not often thank god, and just a moderate sudden pain in big toes. I think they're all nerve based. It all cranks up my anxiety--heart rate, sweaty, panic. Probably the largest hinderamce to my working. I have of course other symptoms. Also tingling under my feet on some spots when pressure is applied.

Any advice? I'm thinking of starting LDN. I'm on quite a few supps for nerve stuff (ala, alpha gpc, phosphtydlserine, cbd, will be on coq10 soon, carnitine) as well as mino and cloves for abx and anti parasitic/candida. Other things too.

Hey 6H,

Just to be sure, have you condsidered gout?

According to WebMD... Gout is a kind of arthritis. It can cause an attack of sudden burning pain, stiffness, and swelling in a joint, usually a big toe.

These attacks can happen over and over unless gout is treated. Over time, they can harm your joints, tendons, and other tissues.

Just want to be sure that is ruled out first. That said...

Bart is the one we typically associate with foot nerve pain, The link below states some of the symptoms can be...

"...pain in feet (especially bottoms of feet- worse early in the morning), sweats, restlessness, myalgias, migrating pain (can be extreme) in and around joints... etc."

https://sites.google.com/site/marylandlyme/tick-borne-diseases/bartonella

I went 22 years and never had the pain in the bottom of my feet, but had massive nerve pain every where else. Then one day it happened, out of the blue.

I bought a bunch of foam foot pads (heel pads) at the local dollar store because I couldn't walk the pain was so bad. That helped some.

Then as suddenly as it came, it went away. Poof!

So, I don't know if you got this due to an increase in herxing symptoms, or what. But, I do hope it lessens for you soon!

I did ask about gout but was told no. I don't have the swelling or redness or joint pain there. Just nerve pain or a pain subside the toe.
And my pain isn't better or worse at a certain time of day that I've noticed.
That is so killer how urs just disappeared:D
Did u get it checked out st all?

Good it isn't gout. Mine wasn't either.

I just figured it was like many Lyme symptoms, here today, stays till you are ready to jump off a bridge or pull all your hair out, then it is gone and replaced by another weirder symptom.

Might you try a foot detox soak? At least some epsom salts? I have nothing to back up if doing that will work or not, but might be good to know it will or won't provide some relief?

Also, for nerve pain I found using Tei-Fu Oil (used topically) helps get rid of the pain for 6 or more hours. Doesn't work great with arthritic pain, but good on nerve pain.

Here is the website of a really good company that makes it- but might be cheaper on Amazon or E-bay?

https://www.naturessunshine.com/us/product/tei-fu-essential-oil-017-fl-oz/1618/

VERY tiny bottle, probably shorter than your thumb- but lasts a LONG time cause it only takes a few drops to do the job.

Hope you find relief soon!

Oh, and sometimes lavender oil will reduce nerve pain and arthritic pain too. I mix mine with a little plain oil or use it straight.

The pain relief doesn't last as long as the Tei-fu oil (3-4 hours), but it can help reduce pain in some folks.
