Chronic Strep. I've seen this thrown around at times on here and another lyme forum I check out.

Could this be why some of us can't get better?

At a young age I had strep throat so much and was told I was a carrier. I know there's much controversy over ppl, especially adults, having their tonsils removed.

I know it's in other parts of the body too but it makes you wonder if that is preventing some from not getting well especially ones that have Chronic EBV as well?

I have asked this also.

For many years, I had chronic strep throat, EBV, and some sort of enteroviral infection.

They could be opportunistic infections, but are still dangerous.

Those infections could be tested to identify them, so who knows what else I have been loaded down with and no way of knowing.

Borrelia (spiroketes) definitely cause serious illness, but some people are treated when first infected and now are fairly healthy and have gotten on with their lives.

I have detox blockage problems (MTHR and sulfuric) that mean toxin build up and chronic inflammation will be a long term challenge.

After many years of treatment, my LLMD told me I no longer have Lyme disease symptoms. But, I still have low energy, and symptoms of FM and CFS.

So, I think many of us have underlying conditions that make it harder to get well. There may be many conditions that cause this.

It's a very complicated question.
