My new llmd did HLA/DQB1 and I am + for this gene.
so what does this mean for me? im confused a little - like how can I be lyme neg /ind. and have this gene for chronic lyme (and feel like s**t)?
is it all just Mold Sickness? I mean, mixed with the babs?
and what do drs do with the knowledge of HLA?????
my followup isn't soon enough.

but doesn't it depend on which bands react especially on IgM?

Yes, let's see the bands. It really doesn't matter though, because a positive on EITHER part of the WB means a positive overall.
Refer to Dr C!!
Quote: "Because Borrelia burgdorferi is a chronic persistent infection that may last for decades, you would think patients with chronic symptoms would have positive IgG Western blots.
But actually, more IgM blots are positive in chronic borreliosis than IgG. Every time Borrelia burgdorferi reproduces itself, it may stimulate the immune system to form new IgM antibodies.
Some patients have both IgG and IgM blots positive. But if either the IgG or IgM blot is positive, overall it is a positive result."
The HLA thing just means it's harder to get rid of the lyme.
What gene for Lyme?

yes, the bands.. I have the "right" ones for it: chronic lyme/ Mold Sickness / MS ? and narcalepsy, all on the same thing. which is interesteing because I do get bouts of falling over and no one can wake me!!!! YIKES.
So specifically I have: DRB1- 13, 15 DRB 3 DRB 5 and DQB1 6
well that makes sense lymetoo, thanks! I have to constantly refer back to what the difference is between them...and I WANT MY BRAIN BACK!!!!

My Igenex is :
Lyme IgM- bands 31, 41 IgG - 39, 41 (neg.)
babs is positive
Bart- a few types that are 1 species specific antibody only, so it will be interesteing to see what she (dr ) does with that.
Typically does a dr. treat Bart based on those results (for bart)? I have clinical sx, so I'm thinking she will.
