Dr is saying autoimmune thyroiditis because my TPO and thyroglobulin antibiodies were high. But he did a Western Blot to rule out Lyme disease. Here are my results and i dont understand. He said I’m negative. I feel like I’m slowly dying. I used to be so active and happy.
NLyme, Western Blot, Serum IgG P39 Ab. Absent IgM P39 Ab. Absent IgG P66 Ab. Absent IgG P41 Ab. Absent IgM P41 Ab. Absent IgG P58 Ab. Present IgG P18 Ab. Absent IgG P30 Ab. Absent IgG P93 Ab. Absent IgG P28 Ab. Absent IgM P23 Ab. Absent Lyme IgM WB Interp. Negative
Note: An equivocal or positive EIA result followed by a negative Western Blot result is considered NEGATIVE. An equivocal or positive EIA result followed by a positive Western Blot is considered POSITIVE by the CDC.
. Positive: 2 of the following bands: 23,39 or 41 Negative: No bands or banding patterns which do not meet positive criteria. Criteria for positivity are those recommended by CDC/ASTPHLD. p23=Osp C, p41=flagellin
. Note: Sera from individuals with the following may cross react in the Lyme Western Blot assays: other spirochetal diseases (periodontal disease, leptospirosis, relapsing fever, yaws, and pinta);
connective autoimmune (Rheumatoid Arthritis and Systemic Lupus Erythematosus and also individuals with Antinuclear Antibody); other infections (Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever; Epstein-Barr Virus, and Cytomegalovirus).
. Lyme IgG WB Interp. Negative Positive: 5 of the following Borrelia-specific bands: 18,23,28,30,39,41,45,58, 66, and 93.

Hey RonJon from good old West Virginia!
Welcome to Lyme Net!
So sorry you are feeling so poorly! God that you are looking for answers and doing your research. Keep it up! We'll help all we can.
I can't address the thyroid issue, but I do know a bit about Lyme disease.
First, your doctor should be sent to the South Pole (one-way ticket) for ruling out Lyme disease based on ANY test. Shame on him!
Telling you what he did- ruling out Lyme based on a negative test (in his eyes), would be about the same as telling a lady after a test that she was only a "little bit pregnant".
You have shown a reaction to two bands. One is "SPECIFIC FOR Bb (LYME)" and the other one being positive adds to the picture.
If you were to eat a frog and your test for exposures to frogs only showed one "band"- the ears band for example- does that mean you were never exposed to frogs? NO!!!
Here is what I have about the Western Blot bands...
*58 unknown but may be a heat-shock Bb protein- Check for viral infections
*23-25 outer surface protein C (OspC), specific for Bb. Can be an early band.
Here is the link that shows the bands and also tells you why a test can be negative when you do have Lyme. See if any of these things apply to you.

Hi Ronjon00
So glad you found lymenet 💚 They saved my life, and many, many others. It took me 3 years and 19 doctors before I finally got diagnosised, unfortunately this is the norm, and not the exemption.
You can take the MSID Lyme symptom test devloped by a top LLMD here;
Please don't waste anymore time, energy, money, and mental stability on mainstream medical doctor that don't specialize in Lyme disease and Tick Borne Infections. Get a LLMD ( Lyme Litterate Medical Doctor,)
Good luck and healing wishes being sent to you.
