I'm suffering from intense head pressure, severe tinnitus, ear pain with clogged feeling. sharp stabbing eye and ear pain. headache at base of skull.

my neck crunches and grinds when I move it. blurred vision and hearing loss.

it's 24/7. pain level never less than a 3-4. and that's just my head...never mind the rest of me.

this is no way to live.

I wonder if cowden will help...

tried clinic in dallas. said severe fibro and wanted to give me tons of meds from cymbalta to, rats, can't remember name. it's advertised on tv. y'all know the one I mean. I said no thanks.

any abx makes it 10 times worse.

randibear.... I know how you feel about antidepressants... but, I am really wondering if this head pressure isn't from a brain chemical imbalance of some sort? (that lyme probably throws out of whack)

Maybe we should try boosting serotonin? I have been trying tryptophan and Sam-e... but I am trying to be more open minded to an SRI or SNRI.

It is too soon to say if these natural brain chemical boosters are helping, but I do feel more relaxed so far and that is nice!

My heart goes out to everyone with head pressure. I would take joint pain ANY day...

I have had all of the above. It is so unpleasant. Just lately, I have had a return of what feels like frayed nerves in my left ear, which went totally deaf about 5 years ago.

That ear is now super sensitive to sound, like it was a few years ago when I lost all hearing in that ear. I think there is a lot of inflammation in there causing this sensation.

It feels like I have water in my ear at times. Also, the ear pressure changes in both ears as though there is a little vacuum in my head. It is the strangest feeling.

The head pressure goes along with it all. It feels to me like my brain is being squeezed and there is fluid surrounding it that doesn't belong there. I literally hear and feel sizzling in my left ear.

I haven't had this intensity of symptoms in quite a while. I recently started trying to adapt the Nemechek protocol by switching from probiotic to prebiotic (inulin) and wondering if that has anything to do with my new intensity of symptoms.

I think I am going to stop the inulin (prebiotic) and see what happens.

This is my cause of all of the above (but it may not be YOURS):

Salicylate Sensitivity can cause every one of those symptoms that randibear mentioned.
