I am taking mepron and ABABS and today I feel like I cannot even walk around. I feel like I am rocking on a boat, so dizzy and off-balanced. is this mepron? Or is this a herx? I have been on this combo for almost two months. Need advice. I just wanted to add since starting these meds, I have a constant headache, everyday that doesn't go away. I never had headaches before treatment. Feeling very depressed and lost at the moment. I see my llmd next week.

Probably a herx...keep a journal and then you will be able to tell. You can tell when you are in that 4-6 wk cycle.

If it's been two months then you are on your second cycle.

I sure hope you begin to turn the corner soon. Lyme and babs treatment is the pits.

I don't believe its a cycle because I have been very dizzy right from the beginning of treatment which was almost two months ago. The dizziness/off balance feeling I have is all the time, just worse somedays but always have it. I am wondering if its the mepron

Babesia is famous for causing the rocking boat feeling, otherwise described as "stepping off a mountaintop and on to a cloud."

I'd say a herx.

Yes, Babesia (and other TBD) can certainly cause all kinds of vestibular upset in a myriad of ways.

And, some of the Rx can, too.

Your liver support might need adjustment. Always the first thing to consider.
