Bryan Rosner's book The Top 10 Lyme Disease Treatments has a chapter about mangosteen that warns about die-off. I'm asking for other opinions because there are so few antioxidants/anti-inflammatories I tolerate, and mangosteen is one of them.

The mangosteen juice does not kill bacteria. Its xanthone compounds neutralize free radicals created by Lyme inflammation and thus greatly helps reduce symptoms.
I'm pretty sensitive and have not had a die-off from the juice blend I drink, which is the Mango-Xan produced by Mike with Pure Fruit Technologies.
We are all different in what we tolerate. The pure Xango is too strong for me - causes a headache. That could be a die-off - I don't know.

Lymetoo -- were you carrying a high infection level, Lyme and otherwise, when you were taking it? There are people who say it can cause large herxes, either from directly killing infections or getting your own body to do so, and there are people who say otherwise.
I don't have the time or endurance to be a guinea pig, again, and would happily learn from other people's experience if they would care to share it.

When Lyme bacteria die they excrete a fungus. Do a search on mangosteen and fungus die off.
Fungus is highly inflammatory. Fungus is one of the issues that everyone needs to address. Antibiotics will do nothing for fungus, in fact it sets up the environment for candida, fungus and molds to thrive.

I'm a rifer. When I found out 2 yrs ago from Naturopath with Biofeedback that my body was overloaded with candida, fungus and molds....
I rifed and rifed. It is not easy to rid the body of these. It took over a year. But when my body started releasing it, the evidence was quite scary.
I finally after 20 yrs am now a good detoxer. Candida, fungus and mold will block the detox pathways.
Never take your eye off the big 3, exposure happens in this toxic world. There are herbals that folks have success with, I'm just not familiar with the protocol.
I'm about to become a Florida snowbird for 2 months. Florida has severe water toxins with the big 3. This year I will be prepared with rife freqencies to fight off exposure while I'm down there and not come home sick again from the exposures like I did last year.

I am now sensitive to salicylates and mangosteen is high. (So is everything else that's HEALTHY!!)
GVS, my load was probably pretty low. I had already been in treatment for 4 yrs by then. After being on Xango about 2 months, I stopped my Lyme treatment.
I felt wonderful for several years. I can't really remember when I stopped using it. Might have been around 7 years ago. That is when my body went nutso.
In case you are wondering, I think being on a high oxalate diet is what did me in.
I was doing that and also eating lots of sauerkraut, which I didn't realize could be counter-productive. What I didn't know was that I already had a problem with histamine due to undiagnosed MCAS.

Update on what drinking mangosteen juice does for me - stops all Lyme eye symptoms and keeps my intestines regular - ie stops constipation. Lyme can slow down intestinal peristalsis. When I started it initially, my sinuses also ran for 48 hours even though I had no sinus symptoms.
