Hi. I had a foot procedure to remove 2 screws 7 days ago and it was supposed to be routine.

WRONG! I had a bronchial spasm and had to be tubed twice. I was in remission and felt great for 6 solid months.

Now, I have twitches, shivering, chills, malaise, etc. since this took place. It seems to be improving but it's very slow and I've never had involuntary muscle issues and I'm trying to distinguish if it's neurological or both.

Has anyone experienced anything like this? If so, what did you do and how long did it take to recover?

Thanks,
Peazy

Peazy,

So sorry to hear about all of this! Unfortunately, many Lyme patients don't do well with surgeries. I am one of them.

The only thought I have is to try and IV glutathione push.

Here is some information about it.

Hoping you are feeling better soon!

What Lyme patients need to know about general anesthesia

From an article in the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA)’s AANA Journal, Jan 8, 2018:

“Lyme Disease and Anesthesia Considerations,” discusses possible effects of anesthesia on Lyme disease patients undergoing surgery.

Here are some important facts to know: . . .

Be sure to communicate with your LLMD / LL ND if at all possible.

In the meantime, especially since many Rx deplete magnesium, it help calm the muscle spasms:

To help your liver as most Rx can stress the liver. Glutathione, mentioned above is good and can have a more immediate relief. Other things to consider as well:
