After a 3-year struggle with clostridium difficile that continues to come back after four rounds of antibiotics, I've finally found a probiotic that keeps it at bay -- VSL#3 taken with Arthur Andrew Medical's Floraphage to increase it's effects.
The infection didn't occur in a vacuum -- I'm carrying a lot of pathogenic bugs in my gut and my holistic doctor wants me to see if I can get a fecal transplant to address my Irritable Bowel Syndrome.
My doctor recommended a doctor in Florida, a gastroenterologist named Dr. David Shephard. I was hoping to find a doctor closer to NC, and also one that charged less than $2000 per procedure, with two procedures being the average for most patients.
Does anyone know of a doctor who does this procedure who's closer to NC and who doesn't charge as much per procedure?
Thanks, GVS
