Does lyme itself, cause balance issues. As some of you know, this has been my main problem since February. I cannot figure it out and no one else has been able to either. I have been to an ear doctor, they found nothing, did mri of brain, nothing. what is wrong with me? I am off balance all the time, it never goes away. Who should I see now?

I have dealt with balance issues and many other ENT symptoms from chronic Lyme and coinfections. All of my other symptoms went away and I was on a mission to find out why the ENT symptoms haven't subsided, as my LLMD was puzzled. I also saw multiple ENT specialists and had no answers, so I decided to research myself and found answers.

Yes, Lyme can cause labyrinthitis which is an inner infection of the balance center of your ear.
I was originally diagnosed with "Labs" before being diagnosed with Lyme. It gradually went away as I treated Lyme.
I also had the rocking boat sensation from Babs.
Sorry you feel crappy. Have you tried vestibular rehab?

Babesia can also be a cause of off balance issues.

Lyme affects the neurological systems of the body, which affects proprioception, or knowing where your body is in space. It's not always the ear that causes balance issues. The muscles, tendons, and joints also have proprioceptors.
I used Pilates to reestablish my proprioception after Lyme. I still have a little trouble with the more distal proprioceptors, like in my feet/ankles, but I'm getting better with that.
The first step is to address what's causing it, and it's Lyme and co.

Another guess - whenever my atlas vertebra is subluxated - ie out of place, this can cause imbalance for me and I go straight to the chiropractor for relief!
We never know which cause or causes we've got for our symptoms, so it's trial and error. Just suggesting another route - to check out your neck condition with a good neck chiropractor.
Also, not just check the neck vertebrae, but also the junction of the neck and the head - I had to have that adjusted as well. A good chiro will know.
