I see my LLMD in December and we'll talk about going on possible bicillin shots. Any input on these? I was on oral Ceftin, Biaxin and Plaquenil with no change after 4 months. She told me to continue taking the Transfer Factor-Lyme Plus because I had very high EBV titers.

Bicillin injections did not help me but I know everyone gets different results.

None of the antibiotics I took helped me at all. I tried at least 8 different antibiotics and gave up on them.

I also did Bicillin injections two different times with no improvement at all. Around 2007 and then 2009 iirc. At the time, though, I had received several PM's from other Lymenet members saying that Bicillin had pretty much cured them.

What is the Transfer Factor-Lyme Plus. I never had Bicillin injections & am now allergic to penicillin.

Hi Marie, it touches alot of viruses and it does touch lyme. Its expensive, about $80 per bottle for 60 pills. There are different forms of Transfer Factor, not just lyme plus.

I did three rounds of bicillin, the third only for a couple months. They were my lifesaver. Was able to fix the gut after many rounds of abx yet keep the lyme load down.

Didn't cure me, but sure knocked the germ load way back so that I could start the natural meds that took things down the next notch.

Bicillin pretty much cured me with the exception of a pesky arrhythmia I am still dealing with.

I did 2 injections a week for 3-4 months (or until your symptoms clear).

Definitely had die off in the beginning but felt improvement as the months progressed. I had tried oral combos before with little improvement.

Still good overall 7 yrs later.

To answer your question if the shots hurt. They did hurt a little but not much. I had a good nurse who administered them.

that is wonderful. I just got my price and my share is over 400.00 a month and that is with insurance. I am not sure I can even afford this now. So mad. they are quite expensive.

I have had Lyme for many years. Early on I was extremely ill and eventally put on intravenous Rocephin when Lyme had halted my career.

Basically, I was doing fine on Rocephin and its generics. But probably to protect me and my doctor from unwarranted intrusion, my doctor switched me to Bicillin LA. I would come in the doctor's office once a week to get a 2.4 million unit shot (the office eventually stopped that practice). Everything was good until a shot mistakenly went into a vein? artery? almost killing me. Hey mistakes happen.

My impressions of Bicillin LA: Excellent. Very Powerful. Almost as effective as Rocephin. I would say even with the 2.4 million unit dosage, I really needed another shot by day three or four, as opposed to day seven (ie I needed the shot more than what I was getting, once a week).

But I have found with any antibiotic I've been on, that sometimes something goes wrong with a refill, somehow the effect is not good. If it keeps happening I might switch pharmacies.

So, my impression: Bicillin LA shots are excellent. They didn't cure me. No antibiotic has cured me. But without antibiotics I go down hill quickly. Be careful to do a blood draw so as not to mistakenly put in vein? artery? which can be lethal.

Still Winning
