Could this be fibromyalgia instead or combination with Lyme? I didn't have this before. Joint pain also which is now symmetrical. Vit D & B12 both low but injection & prescription for them didn't help. I read on the internet now that Lyme can trigger fibromyalgia and auto-immune separate from Lyme.

We all need B-12 and D but taking them will not really have any noticeable impact on inflammation or pain.
Prescription vitamin D is D-2. The better form that actually is made in the body by sunlight exposure is D-3 and you don't need a prescription for it.
I take a sublingual type of B-12 supplement. That raised my levels way better than the shots ever did.
Joint pain is certainly a common Lyme symptom, often the first symptom. Borrelia loves joints and nerves. It bores into most everything.
I don't think your symptoms are outside the Lyme realm.

I do think it could be out of the lyme scope, in the sense that due to immune weakness, we can harbor many other different infections, such as viral infections.
Herpes viruses such as Herpes zoster can cause post herpetic neuralgia, that is basically fibromylgia.
It's not very much known because all the POST-infectious 'syndromes' are not well understood.
It's not only lyme that cause these hard-to-understand'syndromes', but many more infections, including viral infections too.

I started out with these symptoms moving around with problems with words & slurred speech and legs going in different directions. Had a cold sore also & chills. Feeling ill. With circular & light pink rashes. Streak rashes also. Can this be reversed if it is not lyme? I have had a coated tongue continually. Had this since 6/19. Had lyme 1996 w/ documented bulls-eye that subsequently resurfaced a few months later but could not get a late stage positive test. My current lyme test is negative. Western blot only band 93.
I was treated with doxy 28 days & had periods several brief feelings of being well & diminished pain. NSAID 30 days-cont'd diminished pain. Rheum wants me to take 6 days Medrol followed by Celebrex. I had 4 weeks B-12 injections to continue monthly & weekly D-2 supplements. Ref to neurologist also. They are not considering lyme due to negative test. Is it safe to take this short dose of Medrol? I'm afraid of it w/ lyme.
