Has anyone tried homeopathic tinctures like Beyond Balance and Byron White, for Lyme/co-infections, and then decided to stop? My LLD told me never to just quit, but I dont trust her anymore and feel I am throwing money away and being taken for a ride. I'm so done w all this, but wondered if it really could be harmful to stop? Appreciate any ideas. I'm considering just treating w acupuncture, blackseed oil and manuka Honey, and RSO, a CBD oil...(?!) Its just so frustrating!!

Welcome to Lymenet! PM sent for CO.

I am not a doctor, but think you can stop homeopathic remedies because they are not drugs. In my humble opinion, what you do need to do is find a new doctor.

You need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!

A LLMD is one who has treated Lyme disease and the co-infections which come with it for many years and has gotten patients well. A good one will follow Dr. B's Guidelines, the "gold standard" for Lyme treatment.

Here is a link for them:

Unfortunately, LLMDs are far and few between. You need to go where they are. At least half of all Lyme patients travel out of state for their care.

Most LLMDs do not accept insurance due to the politics surrounding this horrible disease. Read poster TF's explanation, "Why Lyme Doctors Don't Take Insurance":

http://flash.lymenet.org/scripts/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=2;t=025539;p=0

I was told doctors in CO do not treat aggressively enough, because CO is extremely tough on any doctor who does. The medical board is relentless on them.

When calling for an appointment, ask if they have any cancellations or a waiting list. Patients have been able to get in sooner by doing this.

Check the Colorado Lyme Support Groups. Maybe they can help. They would know better about CO.

Some more resources (including Support Group info):

Read the books written by the top LLMD, Dr. H, titled, "Why Can't I Get Better?" and "How Can I Get Better?" They are an excellent source of information.

Also read "Cure Unknown" by Pamela Weintraub. Check your local library or buy it used online.

Btw - I know you are new to Lymenet, but please break up your posts into 2-3 sentence paragraphs, as there are people on Lymenet who cannot read large blocks of text due to neurological problems from Lyme.

To do this click the pencil/paper tab, make your changes, then click "Edit Post". Thanks.
