How much did you spend on your total treatment. How do you afford the doctor's fees and all the tests and treatment costs. I don't understand how so many-even young people who could not work have gone through so many treatments. How do they pay for it?

I think it depends on the way you treat it. There are so many treatment modalities, practitioners etc.
I couldn't find any doctor to treat me at first, so I bought Buhner's herbs and some tinctures and started from that. It was not expensive.
When I finally found some help, the insurance covered some of it.
but I live in Switzerland.
I know fees and costs are prohibitive in the US.

I started with a ND for 6 months and wasted time and money but I was a neebie plus no doctor would treat me. Contacted a LLMD and was told I would need an I.V. protocol as I was so very, very ill with late stage Neuro-Lyme but decided to go the oral route because of the expense.
I saw my LLMD for 9 or 10 months and returned to work. I relapsed, off of work, back on treatment, returned to work, relapsed, treated for 2 1/2 years. Roughly 500.00 a month ( this includes supplements, prolotherapy, Low dose immunology, biomat, ect). Ran out of money, maxed out credit card and savings.
It is in my honest opinion, I should have never stopped a maintenance antibiotic protocol. It is possible to get well, I have done it twice. Just started new protocol. Many friends, neighbors, family members help me, no one can go this alone.
