Are there any in nj, pa. I read about a woman in no. Jersey whose llmd stopped treatment with morals after 2 months but an ID treated her for 18 months with iv. Also just messaged someone in florida and he has an ID treating with iv for over 6 months with all insurance covered. How are they so lucky.

Infecious Disease doctors (IDSA) and the CDC Guidelines;
"No data suggest that prolonged or repeated courses of oral or IV antibiotics are effective. Symptoms that persist after a 30 day treatment of antibiotic therapy may be a self-sustaining inflammation mechanism, rather than persistent Infections. Or it could be normal aches and pains. Repeated or prolonged courses (greater than 4 weeks) of IV or oral antibiotics are considered not medically necessary."
This is clearly the opposite of over 700 peer-reviewed research studies that show persistant spirochetal infection despite antibiotic therapy, in Lyme patients with on-going Lyme disease symptoms. The IDSA and the CDC will not walk towards the light of reality unfortunately.
There are a few Infectious Disease doctors who will treat with long-term IV or oral antibiotics. They have been ILADS trained in Tick Borne Infections. I know of none who participate with insurances.
