Hi All-
headed to Co on Saturday. Wanna try some Cannabis oil.
Whats some good info on it?
Does it make you herx? Is their a specific kind to get?
Been reading great things about its "Anti" properties the big 4

I've never used oil. But I've used other forms of the herb to address symptoms and it has been nothing but good for me. I hope to get some Rick Simpson oil when it becomes accessible. Quite a few people say it has activity against Lyme. A few unsubstantiated anecdotes claim that it has put Lyme into remission. Purely anecdotal, but I am willing to listen on this one, since I know firsthand how helpful it is with this disease.

I had really good stuff.....good and bad. mostly good though. a lot of pain was relieved and i got off a lot of scripts. but it was soooo taxing on the liver. as with anything. great in moderation

If you live in NY state, they supposedly just passed a law legalizing it there, but I don't know when it is supposed to go into effect.

I think its legal here but I also think its going to be controlled and prescribed by doctors only. Atleast for now anyway. Really stinks.

jlcd1, this may show my ignorance of the subject, but if your doc can legally prescribe it for you, couldn't you get your doc to give you a script for cannibas oil and have it shipped from another state (just as you would do if getting a medicine from an out of state pharmacy)?
I guess what I'm saying is, couldn't you fax your script to an outlet/vendor/pharmacy in say Colorado, and have them ship it to you?
Perhaps it doesn't work that way.

- For anyone traveling from a state where marijuana is legal either for recreational purchase or with a medical marijuana card in THAT state, be aware that laws change:
the instant state boundaries are crossed
entering an airport or other port of travel, etc.
State Law & Federal Law are not the same
Know the laws regarding operating an automobile, water craft, snow mobile or, perhaps even your helicopter (just had to have some fun with this!). If it has a motor/battery and moves, that's what matters.
States that have legal marijuana make money on that. Their border states make money on tourists who don't know the rules once they cross the state boundary line.
Workplace regulations also must be considered - even days after returning / use.
Know all laws & regulations of all jurisdictions.
A medical marijuana card in one state is not necessarily (or at all?) transferable to other states which have this program. It's only valid in the jurisdiction where issued (and that is still by state rules, not federally recognized even if they might look the other way when one is on their home turf).
Even if no product is traveling, consider possibility of any residue that may transfer to personal items / luggage and confuse border or port screening techniques (or canine "crew").
Even if there is no form of marijuana traveling with you, residue could hold up boarding & departure - or arrival, baggage pick-up at destination.
There may be other things to consider, as well. So obtain expert & certain guidance (via whatever channels they may be) in these matters. Hearsay websites won't cut it, be very sure you have the laws straight from official sources.

I tried the C oil but it didn't do anything for me. Gave some to my 2 friends they didn't notice any improvements w it either. Everyone is different. Good luck

- The cost, alone, was just not going to work for me. I looked it up from a reputable medical supplier in my med. marij. state and it would be about $150. for one ounce of the kind of oil that would be recommended for seizures. ONE ounce. No point of going further with that. -

I am using MM now, since it is legal in my state and I have read how it can help some with Lyme. I use a tincture under the tongue and also an edible form.
So far, these are the improvements/changes I am noticing after about 3-4 months.
1. I am able to sleep for longer stretches at night before waking (5 - 6 hours)
2. My low body temp that used to be around 96 is now normal at 98 - 98.6
3. I am sweating more easily and quickly if I exercise or exert myself.
4. My skin looks better (also people tell me I look less tired and healthier)
5. Dry skin that I have had for decades - especially on heels - is now smooth.
6. I think one form of the tincture I am taking actually calms me and helps me to think more clearly. This could be in my head, but it is a subtle improvement that I think I have noticed.
7. My tachycardia has gone away. My resting pulse used to be in the 80's and 90's and now is in the 60's and 70's.
The strains are very important and you have to be careful to not take a strain that might cause your anxiety level to increase. The ones likely to do this are Setiva.
Also, I do notice that sometimes, my tinnitus gets worse after taking MM. But this is temporary and often followed by an improvement or at least getting back to where I was before taking the tincture. I was hoping it would help the tinnitus, but so far I have not been able to find a strain that will do that.
The best strains for Lyme, from what I have read, are Indica or Hybrids. Also it is really important to start VERY SLOW and gradually increase. There is a lot to learn when you treat with MM!

I believe that MM is such a good tool for surviving Lyme symptoms. While dealing with pain issues which are mostly gone now after many years I found that cannabis was great for changing how I viewed that pain. It did not make it disappear, simply made it " distant". Now the main use for me is falling asleep or falling back to sleep. Also during the time I was experiencing anxiety ,it was a Godsend. As was said above an indica strain is I find,the best. Luckily I live in a very liberal area of a liberal state so I am legal with my medical cannabis card. I don't feel like it cured me just made symptoms and treatment better. I have been told by dispensaries that the CBD strains are less psychoactive because there is less THC by nature.
If you are a first time user or don't know what to expect,start slow and wait between administrations to see how you react. Good luck to you in Co. I hope you have good results.

Yes Lymetoo, I know it. But do you think it can be calmly consumed by anyone? What about you, do you use it or no? I said what I said because I used to smoke marijuana for more than 10 years. And I hardly gave it up. So, it's a very painful experience for me. Don't you think it can easily wake up my dependency again?
