Bartenderbonnie and others who have had IVIG,
Who have you had rx it and get it authorized?
I had it rx'd and preauthorized by my previous LL neurologists, both of whom I've lost. I know that insurance companies have made it much harder now, especially Cigna, which we have.
I know immunologists can rx it if you qualify that way. Since I have no LL neurologist now to see, I'm trying to figure out my next steps. I haven't had it since December 2019. Then I got Cigna which now requires stringent findings on an EMG, which is a risky test for me to have, considering it would be on the areas I have severe neuropathy and neuropathic pain.
I would get an EMG if It might help in diagnosis (probably would) or getting IVIG. However, I've run into a brick wall with LL neurologists.
