Not too long ago I posted about how bad my brainfog is and wondering if Lyme is the cause. I also feel I have depersonalization and severe emotional blunting among other physical symptoms, mental symptoms are the worst to deal with
Since my last post I have been able to find an LLMD. I should have a phone appointment soon. I have the option to treat with abx.
so far I am using cats claw. I am experiencing a worsening of brain fog and having an even harder time connecting with people and feeling unfocused.
My cognitive function is so bad. I forget things constantly, I can't focus. It's debilitating. I can't hold a normal conversation at times. Forgetting how to spell words I have always known. It's scary! Sorry for the long post but feeling really desperate.
Would it be normal for cats claw to worsening symptoms like this?
Are there any tests I should ask my llmd for?

Are you doing anything to detox? Cat's Claw (Samento) is a natural antibiotic, so you are killing off bacteria by taking it.
I am not a doctor, but you might be herxing, that is, your body isn't able to clear away the toxins that are caused from the die-off of these bacteria, thereby causing your other problems.

Take-home message: DETOXIFY YOUR LYME PATIENTS!
It does NOT matter what antibiotic you give people, they will NOT get better without detoxification
For Herxheimer reactions: 2 Alka-Selzer Gold (no aluminum) in 8 ounces of water with lemon or lime followed by 6-8 capsules of glutathione or 1500 mg of oral liposomal glutathione.
70% will feel better in hours
On the topic of water: Dilution is the solution to pollution. This suggests that in order to help our bodies detoxify, we must drink more water

From Dr. H patient, Sept, 2013:
Flare protocol in a nutshell:
Try 1st: --Burbur, 10 drops every 10 minutes for 2-3 hours or 10 days until flare resolves --Parsley (same as burbur) --Lemon/lime in H2O sipped through straw 4x/day --Alkaseltzer gold OTC or sodium bicarb 4x/day
If above doesn't help, add:
Oral glutathione (Essential Pro) 6-8 caps at once, repeat as needed, up to 3x/day
If no help w/above steps, try: --Pekana drainage 15 drops of each bottle 3x/day --Sydetox 15 drops 2x/day --LDN, as prescribed at bedtime
You may need to stop treatment for a few days to clear out all the toxins. Then, when you see that your detox is working, you can confidently start treatment again.
If your doc will prescribe IV glutathione (for you to administer at home daily) or glut suppositories, I believe you would see a major improvement. Glutathione "opens up the detox pathways" according to Dr. H."
