Hashimotos runs rampant in my family, both sides and recently my mother was diagnosed, she's asymptomatic but has the marker.

I've noticed the last month or so my weight gain has been increasing. I bought new clothes for work for the warmer weather and now nothing fits. My diet has not changed and even though I have a mostly sit down job I do try and move around alot. My weight is what I was back in 2018. As well my hair has been falling out, alot now. I've always had a shedding problem but now its alot more noticeable. I'm finally off the Zoloft but I have a feeling it's not that, hey could be wrong though.

I know thyroid issues are quite common in the Lyme community regardless of a "normal" blood test result.

I recently had my hormones tested by my ob/gyn to look into PCOS and of course they were normal as well but I was reassured that means nothing. My ob/gyn said it would be wise to still go to an Endocrinologist, as she couldn't do anything further on her end since I have normal monthly periods and I refused to go on birth control pills.

Moving forward I'm wondering if this all tied into Hashimotos Disease? About a month ago I posted on here about my hormonal issues (PCOS) and if Lyme does this to women. When I had my followup with my LLMD she wouldn't give me alot of insight and said I should talk to my ob/gyn.

Its hard enough dealing with Lyme and Co's but to add in everything else with hormones, PCOS, thyroid issues it seems to press on with my depression and anxiety feeling and looking miserable especially with summer coming.

I see a new dermatologist in a week to discuss the increase of my jawline and facial acne.

Thanks 💚

It could be that or hypothyroidism. Both can cause weight gain.

Most endocrinologists will use only the standard synthetic meds. You may want to consider a functional med Dr.

Yea pour more $ into something that won't work with their "hippie" treatments.

I have an LLMD that won't acknowledge anything and tells me to seek out a reg doc ( it kills me because my LLMD doesn't just treat Lyme) and paying her and the meds she prescribes big money out of pocket.

I have mainstream docs throwing **** at me that could interfere with my Lyme treatment.

And thats not all of it!

Guys I'm in absolute hell right now.

As a woman all my dignity is being taken.
