My hair has thinned out a lot, but I don't know if it's from Bartonella. I also have hypothyroidism. Treating bartonella just reduced the amount of hair I would lose.

I'm so sorry to hear that. It would help if you tried using essential oils. I use them since I first noticed some hair loss. A study found that peppermint oil is the most beneficial and helpful for hair growth. It also includes a significant increase in dermal thickness, follicle number, and follicle depth. My hair used to be so thin and frizzy all the time. And I found this article (https://absame.org/home-remedies-for-frizzy-hair), which describes how to use some home products that are remedies for frizzy hair. And significantly, coconut milk helped me so much. My hair is now stronger but also softer and moisturized. You can try some of them. Home remedies are always the best.

I have Bartonella and in the last month have noticed alot more of my hair falling out. Quite embarrassing. Thinking thyroid issue/Hashimotos.

Strangely enough, Bartonella can actually cause hashimotos. I suspect that some people with this thyroid disorder actually have an underlying bartonella infection for which they are unaware.
When I had Lyme and then Bart years later from a cat, both infections made a direct hit to my central nervous system. As a result, it took years, many doctors, lots of money and the internet to figure it out--both times. I feel very luck to be alive.

Hashimotos like Lyme can be undetected in blood. I have alot of family members with it.
About 5 years ago ( before getting diagnosed with Lyme from my llmd) I went to my PCP about possible thyroid disorders including Hashimotos. She yelled at me and hit her computer and said all my tests were normal and refused to speak about it further.....lol sounds familiar in the Lyme community huh?
I'd be interested to know the link with Bartonella thanks

I couldn't find the specific link to Bartonella/Hashimotos because I read it so long ago, but the basic idea is that it sparks an autoimmune process attacking the thyroid due to all of the bacteria pretty much like Lyme.
My bart titer was 256!
I've been yelled at too.
I even had one doctor insinuate that I had been abused by my father as a child and another blamed my symptoms on a hysterectomy that I had years prior. They were both neuros. Nutsos is more like it.

I didn't mean an actual specific link to click but a link as to how both diseaes are related, hehe sorry for the confusion.
It would make sense though yes as all that bacteria attacking the thyroid and inducing autoimmune diseases, absolutely!
Earlier after I got out of the shower I took a picture of all the hair I removed from the drain, all my hair just from that one wash and that wasn't all of it.
I can't recall what my Bart titer was.

I am still losing clumps and clumps at a fast rate, my pony tails are getting thinner and thinner. I wear it up in a clip to keep it looser and prevent more hair from pulling and falling out.
All my thyroid blood tests were normal. My LLMD still isn't sure why its causing this and won't say if the Rifabutin ( for the Bartonella) did it. I know I know blood work means nothing anymore, sounds familiar right?
I see an Endocrinologist next week. To be honest I do not know if its even worth going now but I guess I will give her a chance because I could be surprised and down the road I do not want to regret it even if her hands are tied.
My new PCP did her own blood work too but blamed it on stress and said I had very very very low iron stores ( the words from her office secretary) uhhh my iron saturation level was flagged low by only 1 point and my ferritin level was normal.
