I think I have a bad Bart relapse going after sorta having it contained for years.
I am familiar with Burrascano's 2008 guidelines. But that's now been 14 years.
I was wondering of there is any other newer protocols I should be aware or or other ABX now used to hit it. I have my LLMD appointment on Tuesday.

Here’s a great website for Lyme, Bartonella, Babesia and other Tick Born Infections. It’s called Treat Lyme by LLMD Dr Marty Ross. He also has a webinar that’s super easy to sign up for, where you can ask questions and he answers.
Here are some combinations that treat growing and persister Bartonella and target biofilms. In these combinations, I find using three agents work best.
I include methylene blue and a combination essential oil product of cinnamon, clove and oregano to treat persister forms, remove biofilms, and to treat growing forms.
I list the combinations in order of effectiveness. The strongest treatments are at the top. Note, all of these can be effective depending on the person.
fluconazole plus (azithromycin or clarithromycin) plus cinnamon, clove and oregano oil combination product fluconazole plus (doxycycline or minocycline) plus cinnamon, clove and oregano oil combination product (rifampin or rifabutin) plus (azithromycin or clarithromycin) plus (methylene blue or cinnamon, clove and oregano oil combination product) (rifampin or rifabutin) plus (doxycycline or minocycline) plus (methylene blue or cinnamon, clove and oregano oil combination product) (azithromycin or clarithromycin) plus (doxycycline or minocycline) plus (methylene blue or cinnamon, clove and oregano oil combination product) (rifampin or rifabutin) plus Bactrim DS plus (methylene blue or cinnamon, clove and oregano oil combination product) (azithromycin or clarithromycin) plus (Bactrim DS) plus (methylene blue or cinnamon, clove and oregano oil combination product)
Dr Ross remains a GREAT advocate for TBI’s and his site stays current with the latest research and treatments.
methylene blue and essential oils are the new additions
both based on work by Zhang et al at Johns Hopkins University over the past few years
bart is my main issue - methylene blue in moderate doses has helped me -but took some time to build up the dose ( same for me with everything that works on bart)
am starting oil of oregano now - it is also potent and taking some time to work up to target dose
the other relatively new element that's coming to the fore in Bart treatment is fibrinolytic enzymes - bromelain and lumbrokinase
many of barts symptoms are caused by derangement of the microcirculation - and much of this is caused by excessive fibrin production - and this fibrin also stops immune cells from being able to access infected red blood cells and endothelial cells - helping the infection stay chronic. again i had to start with the weaker ones - and low doses and work up

Mild hyperbaric gave me my life back, and I've been well for over 10 years.
I'm happy to share information via PM, and/or you can read other's experiences here on the mild hyperbaric thread. People are very helpful there.

a good deal of the ill effects of Bartonella are mediated by proteins on the bacteria's surface called Bad-A which activate a compound called HIF-1 in human cells (Hypoxia Inducible Factor-1) and this leads to damage to the small blood vessels throughout the system - including organs like brain, gut etc as well as triggering abnormal fibrin deposits which further increase microcirculation issues and hypoxia in tissues
i have often wondered if increasing oxygen beyond atmospheric level would be able to reverse this issue. i suspect that for some people it may be enough to get the infection under control

You are correct, and it does.
I also had neurological Lyme (Garinii strain), Babesia, and many opportunistic viruses, etc., none of which were improved by other methods (and I tried everything). I was very, very, ill, and homebound for years.
It takes time and commitment, but it works, along with gut-healing diet, and graded exercise to move lymph.
The key is recovering and normalizing immune system function (as opposed to chasing bugs with drugs).
