Ivermectin (Stromectol): 1 dose*, based on .2mg/kg, 1 hr before bedtime, on empty stomach, with 8oz water or beverage. Take dose for 4 days on, 3 days off. Repeat dosage every week (even during off-days of Albendazole) for 5 or more weeks, as needed, to cure infection.

Alternate Dosage Schedule: For severe hyperinfection cases, follow this schedule instead of the above: Take dose for 7 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on. Continue the "pulse method" of 2 days off, 2 days on, etc, even during off-days of Albendazole, until infection is cured.

Post-Treatment for Strongyloides, Filariasis, & Morgellons: Take a maintenance dose of Ivermectin every 7 days (once a week). This suppressive therapy keeps any remaining encysted parasites sterile & prevents reinfection.

Horse paste
~ Instructions for measuring dosage & dispensing paste: http://curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?i=1678512#i

Calculating Ivermectin Dosage Examples:
Your weight = 132lb = 59.874kg (rounded to 60kg)
Tablet Dose = .2mg x 60kg = 12mg
Paste Dose = See above instructions to measure weight in lbs
Suspension Dose: = .2mg x 60kg = 12mg divided by 5mg/ml = 2.4ml

Doxycycline enhances the synergistic & antiparasitic effects of Ivermectin & results in higher cure rates. 1 tablet, 100mg, twice daily, evenly spaced 12 hrs apart. Take on empty stomach, 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal, with 8oz water.

Optional antibiotics: Amoxicillin, Augmentin, Azithromycin, Cephalexin (Keflex), Ciprofloxacin (Cipro), Clindamycin, Minocycline (Dynacin, Solodyn), Tetracycline, & Zithromax.

Ordering Albendazole, Bactrim, & Doxycycline Tablets: Online drug pharmacies: 100drugs.org, evroshipping.com, magicpharma.com, pharmacy.around-world.biz, pharmacyescrow.com, & vrdrug.com. No Rx required.

Ordering Ivermectin (Stromectol) Tablets: Ivermectin (Stromectol) tablets are cheaper per mg in the 12mg size versus 3mg & 6mg & can be split it into smaller doses. No Rx required. Online pharmacies:

I am saving this information in case I need it.

I started Humaworm last week and nothing is happening. I'm sure I can't assume that at the end of 4 weeks if all is calm that I dont' have parasites. Right? Do I bring out bigger ammo?

Some parasites are microscopic - so, you may not see them exiting. How do you feel? Sometimes, it can take longer - a few weeks...? The active chemicals in the herbs need time to work. Just my observation.

Thanks for the info, nefferdun.

VERY HELPFUL ! Still seems like horse paste is cheapest way to go ( Tractor supply is my source ) and just as safe .

Interesting in that this confirms what I have read that a weekly or twice weekly dose is needed for maintenance . I have a friend who is doing iver and albenza and feeling much better . She started with fenbendazole.

This is probably enhanced by herbs for parasites . Good info !!!

There is another drug that is supposed to be taken with iver to be sure all forms of filaria are killed diethyl--- something . I do not see it here .

I think it is worth considering for anyone with lyme because Burgdorfer found MULTIPLE ( MANY ) strains of filaria in the first ticks with borellia . It is pretty safe , cheap, and not a high risk. It is improving fatigue for several here , and supposedly in Europe , according to Dr Sapi . I took ABX for 3 years and had ZERO help with fatigue .

Do you have to get prescriptions for these drugs?...do you just tell the doc that you need parasite drugs?

Of course that site is not for protomyxzoa but it is for long term treatment of parasites that you cannot completely rid your body of (which is also true of protomyxzoa). It was really hard to find long term effects of using ivermectin because it is just prescribed as a one time treatment.

Many doctors are reluctant to prescribe it because they don't
know the long term effects. In fact, I was told Dr. F is not prescribing it for most of his patients because of this (although if you are on it and it is working, he won't take you off). This site was made by and for people using it long term. It also goes right along with what I have been reading, how many doctors are prescribing it.

Ivermectin has some side effects too, although usually nothing serious. Some of the them are weakness, visual disturbances, diarrhea, nausea and headaches. The more serious complications happen when a person is seriously infected with worms and has a huge die off.

I took stromectol for a month and then ran out. Horse wormer is very hard to dose accurately and I get more side effects from it. I was have visual disturbances on it and then started having a constant headache. I am switching to pulsing now, and I will start doxy or minocycline.

I wonder if you pulse the doxy too. That would be nice so as to not build up the sun sensitivity and yeast.

One person wrote she was using Dr. K's protocol which is 12 mg ivermectin 2-4 times a day. Here is a link:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gBKQC2OogcQ&NR=1

He mentions it at the very end of the interview. It is for lung worm which he believes is related to CFS. He does not say how long to take it but the person who started the thread said 14 days. There is no verification of taking it at that high of a dose for that long anywhere else that I can find.

I have heard elsewhere of people being prescribed 48 mg of ivermectin once a week.

Personally I would caution anyone here not to start out at a HIGH dose . Even though I thought iver would have no effect on me , I was VERY surprised by the severity of the herx . Almost put me on my back the first three weeks taking it every other day .

I can see the high dose being a possibility on a maintenance basis , pulsed .

I have not had problems with horse paste . I take it every other day . I give my body plenty of time to clear it that way so it does not build up in liver .Some drugs are slower to clear the body and I think I read that this is one of them.

I will eventually add albenzadole alternating , but I am still adjusting to iver. The CFIDS lungworm looks interesting - nice to find personal experience .

ktkdommer , ivermectin is much more effective than parasite cleanses , which I tried . They may have some efficacy , but I found iver much more powerful . I would personally try the iver , then use the parasite herbs for maintenance . My advice is just from my own experience , not worth a lot .

Albenzadole is the one that can be hard on the liver. I don't think ivermectin is hard on the liver. It has a half life of 18 hours.
Some of the side effects of ivermectin are diarrhea, nausea, dizziness, visual disturbance, weakness.

I was wondering if you had to treat it like babesia keeping up concentrations of drugs in the blood until there was a complete turn over of red blood cells, but I red in an interview with Dr F that it is a "large bug" that lives outside the red blood cells, so pulsing is probably ok.

It is very important to attack the biofilm shield that is protecting it which you do with the low fat diet and such things as boluoke/lumbrokinase, lactoferrin, EDTA for chelation (of metals and magnesium which is used in biofilm), and xylitol.

From Wikipedia-

Ivermectin (22,23-dihydroavermectin B1a + 22,23-dihydroavermectin B1b) is a broad-spectrum antiparasitic avermectin medicine.

It is sold under brand names Stromectol in the United States, Ivomec in Europe by Merial Animal Health, Mectizan in Canada by Merck and Ivexterm in Mexico by Valeant Pharmaceuticals International. While in development, it was assigned the code MK-933 by Merck.[1]

Ivermectin is a broad-spectrum antiparasitic agent.

[edit]Helminth
It is traditionally used against worms.
It is mainly used in humans in the treatment of onchocerciasis, but is also effective against other worm infestations (such as strongyloidiasis, ascariasis, trichuriasis, filariasis, enterobiasis and some epidermal parasitic skin diseases (EPSDs), including scabies.

Ivermectin, under the brand name Mectizan, is currently being used to help eliminate river blindness (onchocerciasis) in the Americas, and to stop transmission of lymphatic filariasis and onchocerciasis around the world.[2][3][4]

Currently, large amounts of ivermectin are donated by Merck to fight river blindness in countries unable to afford the drug.[5] The disease is endemic in 30 African countries, six Latin American countries, and Yemen, according to studies conducted by the World Health Organization.[6]

The drug rapidly kills microfilariae, but not the adult worms. A single oral dose of ivermectin, taken annually for the 10-15 year life span of the adult worms, is all that is needed to protect the individual from onchocerciasis.[7]

[edit]Arthropod
More recent evidence supports its off-label use against arthropods:

Mites such as scabies.[8][9][10] It is usually limited to cases that prove resistant to topical treatments and/or which present in an advanced state (such as Norwegian scabies).[10]
Lice[11][12]. Ivermectin lotion (0.5%) is FDA approved for patients 6 months of age and older[13].

[edit]Veterinary use
Ivermectin is also used in veterinary medicine. It is sometimes administered in combination with other medications to treat a broad spectrum of animal parasites.

Some dog breeds (especially the Rough Collie, the Smooth Collie, the Shetland Sheepdog and the Australian Shepherd), though, have a high incidence of a certain mutation within the MDR1 gene; affected animals are particularly sensitive to the toxic effects of ivermectin.[14]

Clinical evidence suggests that kittens are susceptible to ivermectin toxicity.[15] A 0.01% ivermectin topical preparation for treating ear mites in cats (Acarexx) is available.
Ivermectin is sometimes used as an acaricide in reptiles, both by injection and as a diluted spray. While this works well in some cases, care must be taken, as several species of reptile are very sensitive to ivermectin. Use in turtles is particularly contraindicated.

[edit]Pharmacodynamics

Ivermectin and other avermectins (insecticides most frequently used in home-use ant baits) are macrocyclic lactones derived from the bacterium Streptomyces avermitilis. Ivermectin kills by interfering with nervous system and muscle function, in particular by enhancing inhibitory neurotransmission.

The drug binds and activates glutamate-gated chloride channels (GluCls).[16] GluCls are invertebrate-specific members of the Cys-loop family of ligand-gated ion channels present in neurons and myocytes.

[edit]Pharmacokinetics

Ivermectin can be given either by mouth or injection. It does not readily cross the bloodbrain barrier of mammals due to the presence of P-glycoprotein[17], although crossing may still become significant if ivermectin is given at high doses (in which case, brain levels peak 25 hours after administration).

In contrast to mammals, ivermectin can cross the bloodbrain barrier in tortoises, often with fatal consequences.
[edit]Contraindications

Ivermectin is contraindicated in children under the age of five, or those that weigh less than 15 kg (33 lb)[18]; and those who are breastfeeding, and have a hepatic or renal disease.[19]

[edit]Toxicity

The main concern is neurotoxicity, which in most mammalian species may manifest as central nervous system depression, and consequent ataxia, as might be expected from potentiation of inhibitory GABA-ergic synapses. Dogs with defects in the P-glycoprotein gene can be severely poisoned by ivermectin.

[edit]Ecotoxicity

Field studies have demonstrated that the dung of animals treated with ivermectin supports a significantly reduced diversity of invertebrates, and that the dung persists for longer.[20]

----

I am a little concerned with long term toxicity. I'm taking Raintree A-P at this point but I do have some horse paste here, too. I think the herbs may take longer & are cumulative. I don't really know for sure, though.

Last year, I actually woke up one day after taking Parastroy for about 9 months & felt better. I felt so good that I thought the parasites were finally gone & I stopped taking it. So - I do think the herbs can work as an alternative to the drug or horse paste.

After about a month or 2, I started getting ill again. I thought it was heavy metals, yeast, EMFs, etc. (everything but the parasites) but in retrospect - I think the parasites came back. I didn't want to think it was that but now that I'm taking the A-P - it seems like it's the parasites.

Back to square one...

If one has the Fry bug - I'm not sure this is the cure. It's part protozoa & part helemith from what I have read. Maybe combining the ivermectin with artemesia or quinine would be helpful? Anyone try that?

My LLMD is treating me for protomyxzoa,
Ivermectin 1x per week, max dose for my weight,
I have rotated Alinia with my Tindamax,
presently taking Malarone and Artemesia, and Beyond Balance Bab-2

(for the first time on any Babesia type drugs, as we don't think I have Babesia, and by my rather non reaction to these meds, I am thrilled to confirm that!)

Previously, I have taken Albendazole for 3 different 7 day runs.
I've done Humaworm, forced myself to take Pin-X yesterday on the full moon (gross tasting.)

I'm taking Bolouke, and have a bottle of Klaire Interphase Plus
(with EDTA) that I am nervous to start- for the biofilms.

At the risk of sounding like I live in a sewer (I am an extremely clean person)
Parasites are a real issue for me.

Never travelled outside the US, don't have any pets!

For me personally, Tindamax and Ivermectin have been the most effective. Must make sure those bowels move- suppositories, enemas, whatever.

I am thinking of going to Ivermectin 4 days on/3 off soon as I get off this Malarone and Art.

As for the low fat diet- I am too thin- 100 pounds, goes down to 96-98 sometimes...am currently gluten free, and must watch yeast.

I think they are an issue for everyone for a number of reasons. You don't have to feel embarassed.

Dr. F stated that protomyxzoa MAY be spread via mosquito...

Thanks Sparkle. I grew up in a mosquito endemic area.

One stepmom was visiting last week, saw my bottle of cloves, and asked:
What are you taking cloves for?

You don't want to know, you don't want to know.

CD57, Xylitol is just a sweetener made from Birch trees primarily. It is well known in dentistry that it kills biofilm in the mouth preventing plaque. So yes, you eat it. All you need is a small amount to protect your teeth so it is put in gum.

I don't know how much you would need to take for biofilm in your blood. I doubt anyone has studied it. It is not artificial like splenda or whatever but I think if you eat too much of it you can get gassy.

I don't know how much EDTA you should take. Dr. Roberts (not an LLMD) recommends taking DeTox Max and I think he gives directions.

Lactoferrin is an iron chelator. Iron makes bacteria etc more virulent. Here is some information:

http://www.newscientist.com/article/dn2347-biofilms-beaten-by-sweat-and-tears.html

Even small amounts of lactoferrin stopped biofilms forming, the team found. The protein did not kill the bacteria or slow its growth - but it successfully kept individual bacteria on the move, preventing them aggregating into groups. The bacteria then remained exposed and vulnerable to antibiotics.

Lactoferrin achieves its effect by trapping iron, a crucial bacterial nutrient. When iron levels are low, bacteria roam across a surface in search of more.

Didn't know this:
However, the team also found that lactoferrin did not break down existing biofilms. "This means it would have to be used early in infections, before biofilms form,

So it seems to control protomyxzoa you need to Starve it. It becomes stronger and grows faster with fat (lipids), arginine, folic acid, iron and magnesium.

There's a relationship between artemesia, iron, & babesia. I researched it a while back. I don't know if the artemesia will work if your iron level is too low. I don't recall exactly how it works. I'd have to dig up the old research I found...

I think it was something like the artemesia "explodes" when it comes i contact with iron - killing the babesia... (?) So, you need to have enough iron for it to work.

You may want to check it out. Ivermectin is very different than artemesia or concepts of biofilms, etc. All of these things have their own chemistry. You may want to study it further to see if there are any conflicts.

I have found via dowsing that sometimes the herbs, drugs & supplements do not "get along" & you have to take them separately - not together - one & not the other - or not at all. Sometimes, they need to be separated. This is especially true of binders.

Sometimes, the drugs & the herbs/supplements do not work well together at all. They may have different mechanisms to kill or their process may be at odds with each other.

Best to research it well beforehand to make sure you are doing the right thing.

I was doing well on Fenben, Safeguard brand.

Hair started falling out very fast. Read that FEN can do this so please research what you put in your mouth.

If you take IVER with PRAZI take it late afternoon because it can cause visual disturbances. I noticed it worse at night.

I agree with post above that bowels have to move. Once a day is minimum, twice a day better as you hold on to die-off and will have more pain and fatigue. Nopalea and morning coffee help me.

I am thankful you are feeling better ladyjenie . I keep watching my hair ! I think you can lose some on iver also . So far mine is OK. I am doing iver and herbs every other day ( pulsed. )
In another month or so I will also add albenzadole pulsed as you described .

I also passed a lot of strange things with pyrantel which surprised me a lot .

I hope your progress continues !! I hope God leads us all to some helpful discoveries in our efforts to get out of the sickness prison .

I am encouraged to read that Tammy , Lady Jenie , Gael, and a handful of others are having some better days . Hope it will last !! Gael says parasites are probably lifetime treatment issue and I agree . If we can just feel better and function better , then that is a lot to be thankful for , even if we have to work at keeping parasite load down rotating herbs or meds .

I hope anyone here making positive progress with will share their experience !

I'm bringing this back up to ask if anyone on this medicine feels that there may be long term effects. My doc (not the one that prescribed the Ivermectin) said, "we really don't know what it is doing to the metabolic pathways"

I notice that my eyes are having problems, they often burn and also my vision has decreased.

Does anyone else have comments on this?

I can’t believe this info is this old and is absolutely so pertinent right NOW! So glad I was totally mentally prepared today when I finally went to my western medicine Dr to get a prescription for antibiotics in case I get extreme die off and get sick from the detox.

I showed her my sores and my pictures. Did and said all the things that you don’t say to a WM Dr! She told me to hear her out, I responded by saying I could see her skepticism.

Then I proceeded to tell her I’m sure she thinks I have parasitic schizophrenia and that I’m self mutilating. She looked me straight in the eye and said yes, absolutely that’s what she thinks but would never have said that to me had I not been mentally prepared for it😞

Was still an absolute mind blow for her to say that, and tell me the parasites she actually could see in my pictures I created in my mind!! Thankfully I’ve had loving family support. You scratch and bleed, think and feel like you are going crazy! I’m looking for someone who I can share my pictures and my story with that will actually consider that I’m fully infested with nano parasites and I’m doing the correct thing trying to kill them.

I’ve been taking the heavily infested dosage and will now start the pulse phase. Is there anymore info here that I’m missing. Or something someone can add to substantiate that what I’m doing with the ivermectin is ok.

Or experienced anything like me? The first parasite I found look looks exactly like a red fiber dragon with a white sperm shaped head, black eyes, and arms of white fiber. Now that I’m attacking them they are exiting through my nail beds on both feet and hands, and I’ve actually pulled out a white fiberous one from my eye on the past 2 weeks.

I’ve been dosing with the ivermectin for approximately a month, but not the correct dosage so I feel like I was almost making them resistant. Which is another reason I decided on the heavily infested dosage. I feel I’m rambling, I’m praying for a response .

This link contains MALWARE.

If your intent is good .. you can go to our archives to search for threads on parasites.

Look for the tiny word "search" up above by the "directory."

Perhaps others can help you tomorrow.

BEKSTOY - Welcome to Lymenet!

So sorry your are going through this. "It's all in your head" - is a very common "diagnosis".

I am not a doctor, but think you have Morgellons.
Researchers have found that Borrelia burgdoferi, the bacteria which cause Lyme Disease, were found in the filaments excreted from the body in Morgellons Disease.

Read these links:
https://www.lymedisease.org/morgellons-tick-borne-diseases/

https://www.lymedisease.org/touched-lyme-threading-path-morgellons-disease/

I don't know what part of CA you are in, but one of the top Morgellons Disease researchers, Dr. S, is in your state.

You need to enable your Private Message function so you can receive messages.

Btw - I know you are new to Lymenet, but please break up your posts into 2-3 sentence paragraphs, as there are people on Lymenet who cannot read large blocks of text due to neurological problems from Lyme.

To do this click the pencil/paper tab, make your changes, then click "Edit Post". Thanks.

useful information on Morgellons here

http://gingersavely.com/about/

i recall seeing it mentioned that Ivermectin helps - but is not regarded as curative

the condition is poorly understood but latest information is the condition seems to be strongly associated with both Lyme disease and bartonella infections.

both of these infections interfere with the bodies production of collagen and elastin - these are the main proteins the skin is made of and could well be the root of the strange symptoms.

many with lyme and bart have skin symptoms to some degree and these often get worse during abx treatment

there is also a comprehensive discussion on the use of ivermectin in lyme and bartonella infections here

Getting Ivermectin as Horse Ivermectin from Tractor Supply is not a good idea as Horse Ivermectin has some pesticides for things horses need, NOT people, and some people have had bad reactions to horse IVER.
If you choose to use Ivermectin from Tractor Supply or another company, it is safer to use the other type for swine & I think cows. We are closer in body organs to pigs & my neighbor takes this type (he also raises animals). He takes it as a COVID preventative once a week. I would also check to see if PEG is added as a preservative, as many people do not tolerate this. There are online sources you can get Ivermectin (Stromectocol) without a prescription of people type. You have to agree that you have a prescription, but not give it. Look up Ivermectin 24/7 or Happy Family. It takes about 3 weeks to get it in a soft pack brown envelope. I had no problems getting mine but I was a bit sceptical.

Also, regarding Ivermectin for Lyme, I am going to try it. Ivermectin stays in your system for 3 days so if you take it for 4 days at 2mg/kg (about 14mg if you are 160lbs), then the literature says you have enough staying in your system to stop for 3 days, then start with 4 the next week. And doing it for 5 weeks should cover the once-monthly time you can kill the difficult ones. However, we might need some other Lyme killer for our brain & spinal cord, as I have read that Ivermectin does not cross the brain barrier easily.

Can I share info I learned about Lyme when I got bad symptoms & remembered the strange insect bite on my leg? I learned that Lyme eats inflamed tissues & if you take medicine that stops the inflammation, like in a joint, then Lyme can't eat happily & you can live with it. My go-to for Lyme joint or muscle aches is Source Naturals turmeric tablets. I use the small ones, 3 of them only when I have aches, easier to take, & tablets dissolve better than capsules. & take my probiotics. Have had Lyme for 10 years & am not debilitated.
