Hi Lyme friends. It’s been a while.I am doing well and have been for many years. My husband has been dx’d with SIBO specifically the methane form. He’s begun to see a functional doctor.
So much of what he’s being subscribed and from what I read it reminds me of the early days of Lyme treatment.
So I wanted to come to this group for advice and informational resources because you are some of the smartest people I know. You got me through the ups and downs of Lyme treatment so wondering if any of you can offer advice on SIBO?

Welcome back Kudzuslipper.
I learned about SIBO from the “Bartonella Babe” aka Jake Picker on YouTube.
Jake, age 30, passed away last month from MCAS along with SIBO and Bartonella. She made her videos from her bed while sick. Her life goal was that her videos would be of value to others who suffer from the same chronic illnesses she tried so hard to navigate through.
And you’re so right, it is like Lyme in that one has to research and advocate for myself in order to well. Good luck to your husband 🌟

I talked to a doctor from Mexico like 15 years ago. He said SIBO was parasites in the intestines. That you need to take H2 blockers and anti-parasitics. I told my top LLMD in 2012. They were very interested. I had SIBO back like in 2011, but after I started on the rotating antibiotics and antiparasitics, my SIBO went away. I would take like garlic, pepsid, zithromax, mepron, bactrum. Then rotated Dr K anti-parasitic protocol. The SIBO went away. That was just my experience.
