I'm new to lymenet. I'm looking for a LLMD in the Portland, Salem or Eugene oregon area.

Also, has anybody had any experience with Dr. Klinghardt in Seattle??

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi there. Finding good treatment in Oregon or Washington is very hard. Actually, it's very hard anywhere, but especially here.

Oregon as a state is extremely Lyme UNfriendly, and has regulations against long term antibiotic treatment for LD.

If you're willing to travel out of state to California, I can give you some names.

For more help, see the Oregon Lyme Disease Network site.
Also the Washington Lyme Disease Support Group site, where you can and talk about doctors and support in the WA area. Good folks in both places.

Gigi, over in the Medical Forum uses Dr. Klinghardt in Seattle, I believe. YOu can search on her posts in Medical (the Search link is under the Post New Topic button at the top of the page) or else just post a message to her with her name and your question in the subject line.

Best of luck.

Someone e-mailed me telling that someone mentioned my name.

The Comprehensive Medical Center in Bellevue, Washington (425-688-8818), about 15 minutes east of Seattle, is treating many, many Lyme patients.

Our doctor is associated with this group and I am only sticking around Lymenet to help other people because I promised myself that if I ever defeated this miserable disease, I would pay back all the help that I received from literally around the world.

I have been well for several years now. So is my husband who was very ill and used to need a wheelchair and walker. I am in my seventies and my husband will be eighty next year. So I would say - the approach being taken at the CMC is working.

Take care.

P.S. I post mainly under "medical" and if you are curious, have a look.
