I have reason to believe I may have been exposed to Lyme while living in the Hudson Valley, NY. This was about 3 years ago. At the time, I had what I thought was the flu. I got over it in a couple of weeks and soon forgot about it.

Over the past year, I have had increasing pain in my major joints - shoulders, hips, knees, back, particularly on my left side. I've also had unexplained black spots in my vision.

I never saw a bullseye when I got sick the first time, and I don't know that I have Lyme, but I need a doctor who will seriously consider the possibility and help me find out what is going on in my body. I live in Columbia, SC, and I could really use some direction.

Any advice you may have is more than welcome. Thank you in advance.

HI!
I'm just now looking into lyme disease after finding out that many fibro patients actually have lyme. I'm near COlumbia Sc as well. Could you send me any info about drs around here that treat lyme and would know what to look for?
Thanks!
