I am a Lyme Survivor....diagnosed back in 1989 in NJ and treated by an incredible pediatric neurologist( I won't mention her name publicly), but I owe my life to her. I still suffer with lingering symptoms of Chronic Lyme for which I have treated as best I can....they are mainly short term memory loss and chronic joint pain. Now I have a new dilemma, and am hoping someone out there can help me! I am currently living in the Raleigh area of North Carolina. My 14 year old son is a Boy Scout and spends a lot of time camping in the woods. I believe he may be suffering from symptoms of Lyme and am looking for a GOOD doctor who is familiar with treating Lyme. I was treated in the "unconventional" way myself with many months of IV antibiotics and am so thankful that my doctor was willing to treat me in such a way. Without that treatment I have no doubt I would be much worse than I am today. PLEASE email me privately with any names of LLMD's in North Carolina that treat pediatric patients if possible!! Thanks in advance.... [email protected]Posts: 1 | From Raleigh, North Carolina | Registered: Apr 2008
