Im sorry, im trying to fiqure out this posting process...
I sent this message to a wonderfull women I found on-line who directed me to this site. Im hoping someone can steer me in the right direction.
I live in upstate New york, way upstate about 10 miles the canadian border in a town called Rensselaer Falls. Im looking for the nearest LYME expert to help with this infection.
I am in search of someone who can help me with my LYME disease. I was infected in July 2006 and treated for three weeks. At the point I was told the virus was gone.
Since then I have had many of the typical post LYME disease. Just recently after a trip to the emergency room I was again tested and found to be positive for LYME.
My visit to the infectious disease specialist says this is from the last infection while the other doctors are saying it's a new case.
A CT scan and MRI have indicated a mass on the exterior of my brain and some lesions at the base of the brain stem.
Im going to a neurosurgeon to have a more definite answer as to the what the mass is, at this point im told it's a cyst and unrelated to LYME but im not convinced its unrelated. In 2006 I had the spinal tap without the CT or MRI being done first so I don't know if this was there at that time. I also have pericarditis.
The doctors in my area have basically put up a wall, nobody can give me a straight answer and every opinion is different.
The mistakes that are happening are unbelievable and I know I need to get to someone who is not in the immediate area and am feeling very desperate and frustrated by the responses im getting.
I will spare you all the details but if you have any advice I would be very great full.

robert, 1st do NOT GO TO INFECTIOUS DRS!! they do not believe in chronc lyme disease and treat for UNDER 30 DAYS!
there are perhaps 1 dozen who are GOOD drs. and practice the ILADS guidelines; don't go to anyone who treats the IDSA, infectious drs. society of america.
ilads ... intl. lyme associated diseases society
if it's a CYST; it's more than likely LYME, but i'd also have this checked out.
