Hello all.

Two days ago we pulled a deer tick from the back

of our 19 month old's neck.

We're pretty sure, but not positive, that it

hadn't been on him for more than one day.

Took him to the Dr. who advised us to do nothing

but prescribed Amoxicillin when pushed.

He said the lack of a bullseye rash and suspected

short length that the tick was on him meant he'd

be fine.

To us, the risks of getting Lyme far outweigh the

probability that he'll be fine and as we aren't

100% positive that it was only on him for 1 day,

we decided to err on the cautious side and do the

antibiotics. So! Other that the Amoxicillin (1

TSP 3 times a day at 150 mg), what else do we do?

I've been advised to stagger pro-biotics around

the Ammox doses to promote healthy bacteria in

his digestive system but what else? Thank you and

our prayers to everyone battling Lyme's.
