Presented to doctor in late June 08 with bull's eye rash on upper thigh. My doctor believes that Lyme does NOT occur in this area and that it is often overdiagnosed. Nonetheless, he prescribed 10 days of standard DOXY treatment. Made me sick to my stomach but I stuck with it. After completing this, I felt okay and I was even encouraged that I probably didn't have it based on his opinions. Within weeks however I am sorry to report that I began to feel very tired. And then came painful joints. And lately lack of concentration and the other night Restless Legs Syndrome. SO, do I go back to the doctor and make a believer out of him? Not exactly what I'd prefer to do. I need a doctor who can help...PLEASE SEND ME A LLMD NAME ASAP. I believe folks say there's a better chance of remission if detected sooner than later. Thanks! Anxious to get back to normal!

Hi Z.

I posted just before you for the first time. I am looking for the same thing but in Lynchburg. I have an office in Richmond.

I am having trouble navigating this website. It came recommended in a book I read about Lyme treatments. The Top 10 Lyme Disease Treatments by Bryan Rosner. He says youare right. You need to be under a good Doctor's care immediately.

If I find an LLMD here or in Richmond I will try and let you know.

Goodluck to you.

Please email me anytime and let me know what your story is. It is nice to know I'm not alone. This Web site is very hard to get around - I totally agree.

Wishing you health and a speedy recovery from this misery.

Hi,
Someone will be along to offer more specific help.
I think there is one over on the Va. Coast (Virginia Beach area?). Someone will give you the name.

The other choice is to go to the DC area, where there are some in Va. suburbs of DC, and in the Md suburbs of DC.

To find a name in those areas, you may try to contact:

Individual Va support groups (click on support group on left side of this page.) There may even be a support group in the Richmond area.

Or, contact:
natcaplyme.org
This is the DC metro area support group.

Hope these leads provide you with some names to help.
