I have an appointment for my 16 yr old daughter,

Katelynn, on Wednesday with a LLMD that I found

on another list. He practices in Fredericksburg,

TX, and I was hoping someone on this forum may

have been treated by him, or may know some more

about his success with Lyme patients.

I live in Burnet, TX, and this doctor is the closest, and he is very reasonable with his charges.

He uses Dark Field microscopy to diagnose, and that is the preferred testing for actual spirochetes, in my opinion.

Any references to any other doctors in the Central Texas area would be very appreciated, too!

Katelynn is very sick with chronic Lyme and possible co-infections from her symptoms.

We have yet to be officially diagnosed, but there is no question in my mind that she has had Lyme for at least 8 years, and it has greatly worsened after another tick bite in March, which caused meningitis like symptoms in the first week of April.

We went to the ER, and found no help, and then her pediatrician ran over $700.00 worth of tests, and came up with nothing...and this was test results after blood was drawn on late Friday afternoon and SUPPOSEDLY completed by 4:00pm Monday afternoon.

We were led to believe there were ELISA and Western Blot tests run.....yeah, right. I was not aware at the time how long it took for labs to come back with the results, so I believed her weak little statement of "Lyme...negative".

Needless to say, we have not been back, and I've been treating Katelynn with herbal combination products developed for Lyme and co-infections. She is really sick again, and I need some answers this time.

Many thanks to anyone who could help with any info about this doc or any others in Texas.

With blessings,

Molly

Best of luck to you and your daughter! If you have any advice on this doc after your appt, please let me know. I live in Austin and, like your daughter, have probably had Lyme for the last 9 years or so. The symptoms have become so bad I've had to drop out of college again and I'd love to find a doc close to home!

Thank you EVERYONE for your messages and input!

Especially you, Bettyg! I wish I could get to Dr. W in Denton, but my old car and limited resources are dictating how far I can make it.

Katelynn is still so sick, and I just have to get her tested this time...the school needs some answers for all the absences.

I will be seeing the Fredsbg. doctor tomorrow, and I will be reporting back on how it goes.

Again, THANK YOU ALL for your interest and input!!

With blessings,

Molly in Burnet, TX
