Hi, my son, age 14 has had quite severe pain in both knees for about 7 weeks now. He was running on his school cross country team so we just assumed an issue with running and/or growing. However, after seeing the orthopedic, doing PT, no improvement at all. Then I google searched his symptoms, thinking it very odd that BOTH knees hurt and they hurt all over the joint, not just the pettallar tendons the ortho doctor diagnosed.

So, after reading many others who had similar knee pain and found out it was caused by lyme, we thought back on other symptoms. he did have what we thought was H1N1 flu about a week or two before the knee pain started. He also did have a bad rash in the summer - not a bullseye type, more red dots in varoius large areas, if I recall. His brothers had this also - cleared up for him and one brother, the other needed several sessions of antibiotics to get the rash.

So, as the knee pain started in one knee, then with him out of running for several days, started in the other knee, we want to at least rule out Lyme. he does have a persistant cough and also has headaches from time to time, which he never had before. Seems like he's "coming down with something" often.

We'd like some recommendations for a doctor in Rochester, NY (we live on East side of city). Any other input is appreciated also.
