I have been directed here from another support group for those diagnosed with new onset daily persistent headaches.
My 14 yr old daughter got some type of flu 9/09 came with severe HA which has never left. Suffers 24/7 along with neck pain, blurred vision, general awful feeling, sleeps 3-4 hrs day, missing a ton of school.
We have ripped thru a host of terrible meds used for these HA but nothing is working. In researching her DX, many kids like her in her situation are found years later to have lyme.
When the situation first started I immediately suspected lyme. Daughter is an equestrian, rides daily, exposure to the horses made me suspect. Had horse test positive for lyme so her exposure is definitely there. Requested lyme test twice. Both were neg but have been told need to really investigate this and make sure have DR that is knowledgeable. My gut tells me this condition is lime but dont' know where to begin for true help.
This is how I landed here. Don't want to be swept under the rug again. What her to be tested again but with the right indiv.
Live in SE Ma, looking for DR in Ma or RI, even CT.
Any help would be truly appreciated
