I'm a 24 year old female looking for an LLMD in or near Gulf Shores, Al.

I have been to several doctors and had several opinions on what my condition is from every one of them.

No one has tested for lyme. After asking about it once, I got discouraged when the nurse told me that "People don't get that down here".

However, at 23 (I am 24 now, but 23 when most of this happened) they believed rheumatoid arthritis, Ehler Danlos, and extreme anxiety are more likely candidates.

But no tests I took supported any of the above, and no medication given did any good. Most of the symptoms I had were either ignored or brushed off by my doctors, and they instead chose to focus on only the joint pain.

I have tried, without success, to find a LLMD on my own. . .just to get answers.

If I can just find a doctor than can help me figure this all out and actually listen to ALL my symptoms. . .I've been in misery for far too long. If its not lyme, I'll accept whatever I'm told. But I want to be certain.

I've been trying to keep my symptoms in check with self administered alternative treatments. . .which do minimize symptoms, but they do not get rid of them completely.

I'm eager to get help from a professional. Doing things myself is, I consider at least, dangerous and risky. . .and, not a good final solution.

Thank you in advance for your help. I only wish I would have found this place when my symptoms first started.

Also, I forgot to add, any doctors in from Mobile to the Pensacola area would be fine. I can't travel too far, but I can try to make arrangements if there is no doctor in these areas.

Welcome to Lymenet gypsy.

There are many cases of Lyme disease in Alabama. Most have to travel for a knowledgeable physician willing to sort out your medical mystery.

Did you see the upcoming event in Jacksonville, Florida Friday, April 9?
