Hello, all.

I'm wondering if somebody might be able to recommend a good Lyme specialist in Long Island, preferably Nassau County, or somewhere relatively close to the Port Washington area. I've had my fair share of lousy doctors lately, most of which have completely shot down the possibility of Lyme disease, and it's wearing on me big time. I'm desperate.

I'm new to the site, so I'll give a brief introduction, if you care to read it.

I'm a 21 year old female from Long Island, New York. I'm a full-time student, and I just recently had to quit my job due to issues with my health. I really don't know if I'll be able to tough out the semester.

I was in a highly deer-tick infested enviornment by Jones Beach almost two years ago. I was told to get checked for Lyme, but I never developed a rash, so I didn't bother. Biggest regret of my life, hands down. Needless to say, my health has been deteriorating ever since - all sympoms of Lyme, and when I say all, I mean all.

I also recently developed a mysterious sinus infection that took a catscan to detect after several doctor visits, and I'm petrified of what this might mean in addition to the rest of my Lyme-like sympoms.

I did have a blood test done roughly a month ago and my results came back negative, but I know this is not an easy thing to test for and that it hardly means I'm out of the woods. I'm convinced it's Lyme that's doing this to me.

I really need some help, and if someone could point me in the right direction, I would be beyond grateful.

Thanks a lot.

I'm sorry but I am no longer accepting any private messages due to my own battle with lyme.
