Whew! What an ordealto get a doctor! Ive spent the last 45 minutes reading, registering, resolving conflicts, learning a new system, finding out how to make a post, and now writing and I guess checking back here to get an answer-or do you send it to my email? Nothing is clear except that I need a lyme specialist in Baltimore who takes blue cross blue shield, and not Michael Levin, thanks.

OK, the next thing to learn is that very, very few lyme doctors take insurance. The best never do.

So, I had to submit my doctor's bills to my BCBS myself and got some reimbursement, but not even half of what I paid. BCBS paid for the prescriptions as usual.

So, with that said, if you want a good doc, I suggest you change to saying that you want a good lyme doc and drop the insurance requirement. If you make that change, I can send you some names.

Check back here for peoples' public responses to your post. You will get private responses through your email notification. For example, we have to send you all doctors' names through private message (email notification).

You can click on "My profile" at the top of the screen to read the private messages sent to you through LymeNet also. And, if you want to respond to the private message, you do that through "My profile."

If you want to write to me privately, click on the little icon of 2 people and an envelope across from my name.

Glad you found us! You will get a lot of help here. We were all new once!

None in MD that take insurance, at least not any that I would recommend. I do have one in York, PA (not all that far from Balto) that I can recommend. Let me know if you need the name.

I'm sorry but I am no longer accepting any private messages due to my own battle with lyme.
