I am trying to assist my father who has been dignosed with Lyme Disease. He was diagnosed last year, told there was no way that he was infected in Georgia, was prescribed some antibiotics (don't recall what), yet this same local doctor talked my father out of taking the medication. Said my father has probably has the infection so long that natural antibodies are doing as well as any medication. Since then, the symptoms are broadening and getting worse. ANy help with a doctor in Atlanta, Northeast Georgia, or perhaps western South Carolina would be a great help.
Thank you.

Hello, I was diagnosed with Lyme Disease back in August, 2009. I had latent-lyme, and I was put on Doxycycline for 60 days, and symptoms did get better, for a while. In January, started to feel worse again, and my Dr. gave me another round of it for another 60 days. Now, again, feeling all of the symptoms again. I probably need IV treatment. Can you refer me to anyone that is near NE Georgia, Hiawassee/Blairsville area that specializes in this (Lyme disease)? Thank you...
